SEPTEMBER PROMOTIONS SEPTEMBER PROMOTIONS

Mac, it is not bb/100. It is total ROI which is why you dropped out. The part in the formula that says profit/100 is not winrate. It is total money won divided by 100. So for that part of the formula, if you won $1000 in the month it is worth 10 points.

I gave a full explanation of the formula earlier in this thread. I know it is long but it is also confusing and took some time to figure out...plus I have examples. Please look at those posts to understand.

ahh thanks Bob. Very helpful. So I suppose running hot at higher stakes is more important than solidly winning at lower stakes. I suppose that isn't terrible because if it were the other way around it would benefit the people playing microstakes but winning 20bb/100 at .01/.02 or whatever the lowest stakes are.

Kinda crazy how i ran hotter then the sun at 100NL over 80k hands and abit 200NL in september and not make it top 15 in the leaderboards.

mac - I'm not really sure that is the case. If you are winning each week for 4 weeks and get 25 points a week or something for a total of 100 then you are in good shape. Somebody running hot at higher stakes over 1 week can maybe get 100 points also.

The thing about the points being done for each week makes it slightly harder to say for sure I think.

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread, but I'm interested in opening a Lock account with rakeback. Is this the right thread? Can someone please direct me to the correct thread if this is not.

Thanks

To get rakeback just email me your details after you sign up and I will activate it in your account.

Shane,
Will the knights promo be going on in November too? Is it possible to switch from a rb acct to VIP acct at any time?

Thanks

Were there winners in September? No announcement has been made.

When is the tournament for this and who qualified?

Please address this.

I finished in the top 10 and support did contact me via email about my prize.

I would still like to know when the Tourney will be held.

Agreed. What's up with this?

Seriously guys? I wasn't involved in removal of promotions, but I'm guessing they didn't bother going back and deleting threads about promos from 8 months ago (and likely long since expired) which were dead and buried LD decided to bump it.

I highly doubt the intent when they removed promotions was too go back and remove every old thread like this; there's a small possibility that someone who participated in something back then might need to refer to this, and pretty much no benefit to Lock. But if you see threads like this that you have an issue with, it would make more sense to PM Mat, or report a post, than bump them from their resting place.

Don't mean to come across like a complete grump; I'm just perplexed why anyone would think removal of promotions would mean going way back and deleting old threads like this. I guess I'll leave this open for a day or two in case there's any more commentary; then I'll lock it up. I'd think that's what we'd do with other old promo threads as well if they really bother people for some reason.

Edit to add: I see a redirect at the top of the forum as well, so I don't know if for some strange reason this was at the top of the forum before LD posted, but I don't see how it could have been. My apologies if it was, but regardless I think we'd just lock these old threads up rather than deleting.

Additional edit: Apparently it was at the top, so I understand the concern; apologies for bitching about the bump.

+1 to just locking em up. Some of these old threads may help in answering questions in the future so good to have things on record. Deletion is overkill imo and I don't see any reason for that.

Bobo - Thanks for the response. I wouldn't have expected anyone to go back and move old promo threads either, but the other day, I noticed that's exactly what you guys had done - at least for the ones I saw. Sorry, didn't mean to annoy you, and it's not a big deal in any case. I thought it was useful to report a stray. But if there's a reason for the inconsistent treatment, that's fine too. Agreed that locking them up is better anyway.

Interesting; I wasn't aware of that. I think Mat did all the clean-up.

No worries; I was told in another thread that I've been a bit bitchy lately, so maybe it's just me.

Absolutely it is useful, and I wasn't aware they were being treated inconsistently, so we may have to take a closer look. Thanks!
