Ftp rewarded their ftp points by the dealt method, and rb was contributed, so they werent fully one way or the other. If you looked year over year for ftp leading up to the day they went from dealt to contributed rb, i bet you would see significant increases in percentage of traffic relative the year or so after they went to contributed.
Dealt rb allows a larger portion of players to he winners, and it means alot more traffic for sites.
Look at cake, for example. This is a site that has WHAT exactly going for it? The fact that they somehow have held on to any pirtion of their players is shocking, but the reason why they are able to do so is clear: they reward the people who generate rake on their site and keep it running, and they dont have to be great players.
