Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

i am confused. I have been on a two month hiatus. What's the deal with the rakeback vs. VIP? I am a black elite but should I move to rakeback or do I already get RB?

I have sifted and not really easy to sift through to get questions.

Here are my other questions.

1. If I get RB, where do I find it listed?
2. What are VPP's and how do I know how many I get in the day?
3. Where do I find my peeps to rail?
4. I like to check out the LockPros, where are they? I can't find where they are online?

Other than those questions, I will say that I am getting used to the Cake and looking forward to see the change in atmosphere than what I am playing on today. Seems like the software needs some work. I think patience is in order, which I have. No patience and Poker don't mix anyways. ha

At Black VIP it looks like you are best staying on VIP http://lockpoker.eu/vip/

Rakeback is in your cashier ledger

Lock Pro's are highlighted in the Mac version but it appears they arent in the PC version, this is still getting looked into.

New software is definitely around the corner, as soon as everything is stable we go right to work on that.

Lock hates HU and shorthand players. FR gets all the points.

Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

http://lockpoker.eu/vip/ states that we get 1 VIP point per $1 dealt raked. Is this the right amount? didn't it used to be 10 VIP per $1 raked back in merge?
If it is actually 1 VIP per $1 raked, do we still need to get to 10,00 VIP points for Black VIP?
Also, if we are in the rake-back program, do we still get the VIP to use in tournaments?

Thanks

Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

By my calculations, I am well past where I should be to get the first two levels of Ronin (I have RB, and as I understand it I get 10 points per $1 rake after rb; I calculated my rake paid by dividing my RB by 36%, I had 35% but I think I saw everyone on RB is now 36%?, then discounted that rake by 36%, then multiplied by 10 for VIP points).

I am not seeing any ronin payments.

I am also not seeing any bonus info or vip point info.

Is the new admin page still not rolled out (I thought it was due out by this afternoon) or is this a problem with me specifically?

Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

It is 1 pt per $1 of table rake.

Go into HEM and multiply rake paid by avg # of players stat, and that should be very close to FPP's. Obv it will be slightly off because HEM only calculates that stat to 1 decimal.

I don't have any Ronin payments or cashback payments or anything and I was playing $100+ HU SNG all weekend...

So everyone at the table gets 1 pt per dollar raked from the table? Is that pro rated? That totally screws up all the calculations I did on the value of everything when it was 10pts per dollar raked.

So in the new way RB does not affect points at all? What about for tourneys and STT's? If you only get 1 pt per dollar YOU pay that is a total screw job for anyone not playing cash. -EDIT I see 7 pts per tourney dollar

This system seems really ill conceived. Does the bonus clear off of points? I don't see why we are only learning these details now. I understand the move is complicated, but policy items should have been worked out long ago and communicated, these are not technical issues.

EDIT this makes the value of Ronin 70% of what it was effectively (even less for short handed and HU players).

This really blows and should have been communicated weeks ago.

Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

^^

This "problem" was communicated by Shane roughly 1-2 weeks ago. To compensate for the different method in awarding VIP points, Lock lowered the number of VIP points needed for each prize level of Ronin.

Whoever came up with the way points are distributed either plays full ring, has friends that play full ring, or has no clue what they are doing. The new system kills VIP points for hu and short hand players. How it ever got past multiple people to get approved is beyond me.

Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

So:
Are points pro rated (i.e. we rake a fraction of a dollar we get a fraction of a point)? (I assume so, but I don't know that)
Are points reduced if you have rakeback?
Are bonuses cleared by points or rake?

This is the sort of thing that should be in the FAQ thread and that OP should be updated regularly.

Yes.

The calculation should be (rake*9)/# of players at table = pts per player.

That would make it fair across all formats.

That hasn't been answered yet

Points. 100 pts clears $6 in bonus, released in $5 increments

I think they are doing 7 VIP points per dollar raked in tourneys so cash equivalent would be: (rake * 7)/# of players at table

Re: Rakeback, Cashback & Ronin payments

Right. I meant equal for all cash game players.

(rake*7) would hurt FR cash players tho, not sure anyone wants that.

Plus (rake*9) would be more money for all, and not decrease the rate anyone currently gets.
