Mac users unable to play on Revolution??? (Yes! solution in thread)

Hey, so I saw Cake's software was for PC only.

Do ya'll have a definitive date for new software or are Mac users going to have to quit playing until it rolls out?

SORRY, just found an answer browsing through the forums. For interested 2p2pers, Revolution says they will likely have a Mac client by launch and if not a "solution" would be soon to follow.

I have pm'd rizen and shane multiple times to get an answer on when the mac client will be available, and if this will affect mac users currently on lock. I have yet to get a reply.

Hey guys,

The trick here is that the situation has changed several times as the process has gone along.

Its not quite 100% finished but the Mac client is now looking firm to be delivered in time for the launch. I will update here once I know more.

And is this going to be for all Cake skins as well? Or just the Lock skin

So how do we go about the process of downloading it? Will lock players currently using Mac need to redownload? Or will it be auto converted?

I thought the Mac version worked the same as the Windows (just open it and it will update to the new software uninstalling the old software)

Unfortunately our tech team are all getting a few hours rest before the actual move so I cant confirm this and the Merge team arent entirely sure you may have to download it but if so there will be instructions posted shortly.

Uh oh, just downloaded the Mac client and saw lots of references to wine. Could be a bit rocky at the beginning Mac users.
