wtf? carbon does wu cashouts now?
05-28-2012 , 12:27 AM
Carbon didn't just dump their cash-flow on some lackluster software and a minuscule player base. I'm sure they(Carbon) are well capitalized to handle cash-outs and customer issues. I hope I eat these words, but I wish I had opened a Hero or Carbon account.

Sorry if this is posted somewhere. To get the fee reimbursed for the first WU withdrawal of the month, do I need to contact someone? If yes, whom? If not, what's the typical time frame for the credit to show up?
Send support an email and you will be reimbursed.

honestly, terrible service. i was psyched on the speedy withdrawal, deposited on western union hoping to be able to get access to it. I have sent various messages to support regarding my verification and withdrawal and absolutely nothing has come from this.

If a tree fell in the room where all of the Lock Customer Support and Cashier personnel worked, would it make a sound? Im really beginning to wonder. I have been reading this support forum now for 3 straight weeks, right before I decided to Cash Out everything from Lock on May 17th. I had only deposited $500 less than a week before and DID NOT like what I was reading, so I went and cleaned it out. $450 Western Union with a $45 fee. I was more than happy to eat the $50 from my original deposit. Again, this was May 17th. After emailing support multiple times about status and hearing nothing back about my Western Union, I recieved an email on May 30th:

-----------------------------------------------------------
"We're sorry, but your EPT_WU payout request of 450 USD for Account ID xxxx has been declined.
Payout Comments: Resubmitting under full name

We thank you for your continued business and are always available if you should have any questions."
------------------------------------------------------------
I opened my Account under the name Al, but my full name is Albert, and support sent me another emailing at the same time as the denial email:
------------------------------------------------------------
"MAY 30, 2012 | 03:40PM EDT
Hello,

Western Union had informed us that your payout had to be resubmitted under your full name, Albert xxxx (not Al xxxx). We have done this and should have your pickup info to you within 48 hours.

All my best,

Now honestly, I dont know what to make of this. They are saying Western Union declined the transaction for using the name Al instead of Albert, but why would Western Union care about that? How would they know my full name wasnt "Al"? This doesnt sound like something Western Union would decline for, but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. They did immediately resubmit under my full name and said I would receive pickup instructions within 48 hours. This was on May 30th. Today is June 7th. I have not recieved isntructions or a response to any of my emails since May 30th. I patiently waited for 8 days to pass from the second submission before I even brought this to the board. At this point, I am having serious concerns over the money. I am having a very difficult time understanding the Lock business model if they are unable to pay player withdrawals in any capacity. I will update my case if it gets resolved, but we are now 22 Days from my original Western Union request.

While this may be true for pickups, how can Western Union check ID's when people are sending? Are you saying in order to send someone a Western Union that you need a copy of THEIR ID as well as yours as the sender? I doubt that. And if that were true, you are telling me a Lock rep is walking around with a copy of my ID with them as they go to send a Western Union? That doesnt make a lot of sense and I hope to God that isnt the case, but again, Im just a guy among many who arent getting paid on withdrawals.

333denots your situation is completely reasonable...if the names don't exactly match, Western Union is liable if (in the very minimal chance) the two people aren't actually the same. You could be a guy named Allison.
