I think it varies based on whomever is on duty. I've gone to the same Harris teeter multiple times and my experience has varied

I've been asked my job once (I told them professional skydiver). I've never been asked to show two forms of ID till this last time. I didn't really have I and they still let me slide

It happens when you are receiving a large amount. I've always done $2K so not sure. They only can $1K checks at a time

So moral is bring two forms of ID just in case and be prepared to have to visit multiple places till someone handles large sums. If u find a good place use it each time

Soooo 22 days after I request a cashout I am hearing about a problem now??? I have also e-mailed a few times, Shane got back to me quickly with an e-mail but all it said was expect 7-14 business days. This is very disappointing to say the least. Don't know if I can take much more of this site's ways.
Control number received today. Do I e-mail support or cashier to get the fee credited back to my account?

Anyone know if we get two free WU cash outs a month? I remember Shane posting that a while back. I know it still says one on their site but they don't seem to update things that often.

i finally got my control # from lock for a WU withdrawal, but when i put the info into the western union site to check and see if its available it says it isn't... and i REALLY don't wanna go in there and ask for this sketchy money and have it not be there... thoughts? have you heard anything like that before and it is actually fine?

Has anyone else checked this that can speak to one way or the other?

Because its a personal transfer they wont work on the site, when you take it into your local store you will pick it up no worries.

If you search this thread you will people reporting this previously and picking it up fine.

How is the money sketchy if it is your money, best bet is get WU prepaid card and you can load the money from your computer or phone.

there is a $950 load limit. any transactions over this amount are not able to be loaded on the prepaid card.

I still have not been reimbursed on my last WU cashout. I emailed Lock and was told I would get it at the end of the month. I sent a follow up email 2 days ago and they told me the problem was sent to the cashier dept. I emailed Shane and no response. For something that should be automatic Lock is really dragging this out.

eh? I will email this to you shane but I am not sure if i should manually resubmit a request for a cashout (and wait another untold weeks) or wait for Lock to find another processor?

Requested: 8/20
Approved: 8/28
MTCN/Cash in Hand: 8/29

Looks like the WU withdrawal times are (drastically) improving.

Ya I got the ridiculous end of the month reply to my request too. Shockingly I did not receive the reimbursement at the end of the month.

Unfortunately there's only one local bank chain here that does WU (at least according to WU's location finder online). My only other options are convenience/grocery stores and check-cashing/title-pawn places that don't seem equipped to handle bigger payouts. Even our nice big "super" Kroger said they didn't have enough cash on hand this morning, although they did say they might later in the afternoon. I guess if timed around payday or bill-paying time it might be easier to find places with cash on hand.
Check cashing places should definitely have enough cash on hand to pay out even a max WU cashout.
