Lock support still hasn't changed... Lock support still hasn't changed...

Now, I was/am very excited about the new "revolution" network but the promised better support is obviously not quite accurate. I load up Revolution for the 1st time and I'm prompted to change my name. I think to myself "cool, a fresh start" I stare at the screen for 45 mins trying to make sure I pick a good name. (It's a pretty tuff decision) I come up with what I want. iBetterRunGood. I type it in and hit confirm. The screen loads and I see iBetterRunGo...... "uhhhhhhhhhh wtf!?" I get on twitter and many others had the same problem. There is no mention of a 12 character limit, but they let you type in as many as possible. Here's the funny part.

I email support and clearly explain to them what happened when I logged in the first time and ask to either be able to fix my name, or go back to my previous one. Here's what I get back... (6 hours later)

Hi,

Our server will be down a wile later when we move to Revolution gaming.

This will be for a short time and we hope to have it running as quick as possible.

You will still be allowed to play with us.

Thank you so much for your patience.

All our best,

Nathan

Really dude?? Did you even read my email? Do you even work for Lock? This change happened over 15 hours ago....... Just posted this so a Lock rep would see and know exactly how pathetic, laughable, and ignorant their support team is. I've came to the conclusion they are a specialized bread of monkey that can read, but not comprehend, has the ability to type, and works for cookies.

Hope this improves and I hope the network isn't as bad as the service, I have high hopes.

I got the same email back. I asked specific question and that is exactly what they had to say.

I sent support an email asking to get switched to rakeback instead of VIP earlier today. Nathan replied with the exact same email about an hour later. It also left me wondering if he even read the email I sent...

If he didn't read it, I wonder if Lock has any CSR positions open so I could make a few extra bucks copying and pasting random text to specific customer service requests.

HAHA yes! I am very prompt with my email responses, actually read the previous ones sent, AND will work for little to no benefits and a mediocre wage. HIRE ME LOCK!!

be patient. they still havent made the complete move to revolution yet. if you bothered reading the threads days ago, you would've known that 12 characters is the max on revolution while merge allows 16 characters. there will be a software update eventually once everything is stablized and the move to revolution is complete. give it a day or two.

I've read most of the threads about it, don't remember seeing the limit, but I'm sure it was there. It's hard to read actual posts/ info when everyone is asking the same moronic questions over and over and ruining the point of the thread in the first place. The point is, it should only let you type in 12 or the "support" should actually read your email instead of send you some automated bs hours later. Please sir, don't defend their stupidity, it will only encourage them to think it's ok

This.

I made the same mistake. Hopefully they'll let us change it one last time.

Picking screen names to me is harder than any test I've ever taken. And I always fail at picking

I realized there had to be a limit when I typed in zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and it let all that in the box. So I went with a diff name, luckily fitting their guidelines

I wanted mine to be iBetterRunGood... it is now iBetterRunGo lol. I'd be cool with iBetterRun or my original 4FrusH, Sigh
05-31-2012 , 04:57 PM
I was RuckingFetar before, didn't realize I didn't get the 'd' in there but I ended up liking it eventually. This time I'm TeetsMcGee...which I'm already not liking. Maybe it's the run goot account I hope for though
05-31-2012 , 04:59 PM
I also received the same email which didn't answer my question at all. lol funny.

Oh noooo!!!! I just spent like 15 minutes putting together an email to support w/ numerous issues/questions. Hope they don't send generic email back
05-31-2012 , 05:10 PM

At this point I can't access the cashier. Once I can do that I have to find bonus code and make a successful deposit. Then I have to get a hud working, rakeback added for sure, and who knows what else will come up. I know they are working hard, it's just going to be a few days to get everything right.

How much do you play? You're prob better off with the VIP program. RB=36% VIP maxes out at 55% I believe. I'm cool with the bugs, doesn't bother me. Just not cool with terrible support that doesn't even bother to attempt to "support"
05-31-2012 , 05:21 PM
I'm a micro donk, so I think rakeback is better. I'll prob grind 10NL 6max. Should I be doing VIP? I already asked for rakeback so don't know for sure if I can change.
05-31-2012 , 05:25 PM
Grinding Micro's maybe or maybe not. Do you have a guestimate of how many VIP points you earn a month? If you can get to even the 2nd tier (I believe with the new levels, I'd check for yourself) you'd be almosto to your RB %. 2nd tier I think is 2,000 or more a month. If you put in a ton of volume or plan to move up stakes at some point VIP would be better because it has a much higher max, and you're not losing much before you get that high
05-31-2012 , 05:27 PM
Okay if you didnt just get a PM from me please shoot me a PM with what you were contacting support with so I can try to get you to the top of the queue with the right team.
05-31-2012 , 05:28 PM
you would have to play hours and hours every day at micros to make vip worth it. rakeback is a much better choice for the vast majority of players

That's what I was thinking. I don't play that much, probably a few k hands a week or something. Even if I do, I read you should wait til you are a black vip or something along those lines. I know I'm not near that so I'll stick w/ RB for now!

They said you can change to VIP later if that happens but rakeback looks better for now. Once you change to VIP you can't go back to RB so I have to stay put. I've never played on Lock to this point so I have no idea how much I earn, just the same as an average micro-donk I'd assume
