I wouldn't mind BBJ tables: i love playing em once the jackpot is high, and it'll often make people do things you can exploit very easily, like people playing more hands like suited connectors etc. because they think they're going to maybe make a straight flush vs quads with it something ;-)
Seriously? There is extra rake taken from the table.. and most sites keep a portion of that jackpot, so that extra rake doesn't completely make it back into the poker economy. Then, I would bet most jackpot winners try like hell to get most or all of the money off as quickly as possible to pay off loans, mortgages, vacations, credit card debt, etc etc.

Re: Lock Poker Suggestion Box

Its pathetic lock is offering bounties on a few of there pros on sunday tournaments, and aren't paying it. Last sunday i knock out "matt stout" in the $530 80k I have sent two emails one saying it will be processed in 24-48 hours, next email says it has to go through promotions and it should be taken care of shortly. Well its now thursday and still no $500 bounty to my account. Why the f$#% should i have to harass them just for them to think about paying me $500 when they are advertising this. It should be an instant payment, or dont have the promotion. I should never have to tell them about their own promotion.!!!

Re: Lock Poker Suggestion Box

Yep, true

I still don't really get how it "kills the poker economy" though. You have to realise it also attracts people to play on the site at all, i bet there's plenty of casuals/fishy players who would play poker in hopes of hitting the lotto rather than consistently trying to win.

Furthermore, the majority of tables on any site will always be the normal tables, BBJ tables being ran are usually a relatively small percentage.

And.. as i said before: the edge you get playing on these tables can be quite interesting, i'm sure you can agree here. It really does attract bad players, i see it all the time.

Re: Lock Poker Suggestion Box

it attract fishes and deters the regular players basically. may sound good but not when it greatly decreases traffic.

but it definitely destroys everyones bankroll. the rake on it is ridiculous.

bbj tables definitely not the minority from experience with merge. which you could argue means they love it more. but regardless how extra bad they play it doesnt make up for the additional rake. plus its not like only the regs are hurting. the rec and fish players dont even realize how much money they are burning into that rake and therefore will die out a lot faster too.

it is in lock's best interest to have loss rates as low as possible for all players.

Re: Lock Poker Suggestion Box

i disagree, i would love to see BBJ tables. its gets more people in with small pairs and suited connectors. the 50 cents they take outa that pot once it hits a certain amount is fine with me. i know the odds of hitting it are terrible, but years ago on paradise poker i got my quads beat by a straight flush so i saw first hand it does happen. if people wana play they'll put on new money, just cause it eats up money doesn't mean its going to kill bankrolls. they def shouldnt have all BBJ tables but to option to play in them would be great because i find them to be much more profitable especially at like 50 and 100nlh where alot of the games can be pretty tight.

Re: Lock Poker Suggestion Box

Allow satellite winners to register for any tournament for the price. For example if I qualify for the $7,500 guaranteed for $109, I should be able to withdraw from that tournament and be able to use it on another tournament like the $110k on sundays.

I know this has probably been suggested before but i'm sure it will make a lot of players happier. It might even boost the amount of players playing these satellite tournaments.

Maybe if you offer them a fee for managing your bankroll ... by the hour, day, or week even. Then when you're ready to move back up, you could pay them for counselling also.
