So much arrogance in this statement. The only way Merge has to "dramatically" lower their guarantees is if all lock players were to leave and never come back. We'll see what happens come June 1st, but I think you and everyone else in charge of Revolution are overestimating a lot. People will play on both, not one or the other and if cashouts don't dramatically improve, the software will keep a majority on Merge.

Not micro tourneys. Some of us aren't playing low and mid stakes so having small buy-in tourneys that are not turbo's or hyper-turbos would be nice.

some mid high mtts with 8-10kish gtd in the 12-17 lobby time range would be euro friendly and would help increase the traffic etc

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

I play Cake most days. This schedule sucks. PLO8B gtd's are already higher and have been making there guarantees. If there is an overlay it is usually very small. I play both sites. I hate Merge in general. Crappy payouts. Hey, are they changing the payout structures? Oh, now I don't think I like this. I hope Lock is willing to put a little on the line and give more in the beginning to insure player loyalty. I like Cake just fine and have no desire to jump ship unless the site forces to many crappy changes. Add whatever tournaments you want but why cancel or change the already existing schedule that has player loyalty? Some of us, the ones that play everyday, do not care if you add some more tournaments. I would ask Lock why they would want to alienate the solid, yet small, player base that has keep Cake a viable site.

Tell me, did Lock even consult with the other skins about canceling the existing schedule?

^^ yeah, I thought it was kind of funny that the "genius" who designed this new schedule, ended up sending plo8 back to the stone age.

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

I'm glad to see the PLO8 suggestions were considered and MAYBE even something will be done. I don't play PLO8 (would like to start) but seeing Lock actually MAKE AN EFFORT leaves me optimistic. We all want a good site to play on, so make that happen and you will crush Merge. Copy and pasting there schedule with minor to little changes isn't going to get many players to jump ship, aka smaller site, aka smaller GTD, aka bad business. I (and I assume most people on Merge) would LOVE to never play on the netowrk again..... Speaking as a player we BEG you to put some real effort into this!

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

IMO Cakes main problem is the cannot seem to get US players paid in a reasonable time line. Since I am non US my payouts have been through MB and have been taking no more than a week for a couple of months. If the payouts were more reliable for US players than Cake would be busier. I think a better idea would be to add to the already set schedule and build on that. You already make most the guarantees and you can count on the existing Cake player base. The thought of playing for even smaller guarantees is disheartening.

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

I really like the 24 player limit o8 tourneys that cake runs through-out the day. I'm taking it that you guys are gonna do away with them come June 1st? Perhaps we can have some multi table o8 sit-n-gos? 18 man and or 24 man omaha hi/lo sit-n-go's priced at $.50, $1, $3 and $5 would be pretty successful imo.

You know I am an O8 reg but please don't pit PLO vs PLO8. This schedule needs a lot more of both games. And don't get me started on Horse, Stud, etc.

yeah, I am "starting" to diversify into PLO mtts myself, so I am not against PLO in any way. It's just that from my research the prize pools and player numbers always tend to be higher in PLO8. From that it follows that it makes business sense for the MTT schedule to reflect the actual market demand.

I know I make a substantial volume on merge and I am for surely 110% gone after LockOps cancelled. No if ands or butts about it. After Maximus i don't think there is an over estimation here. ANd given the size of Lock Ops that obviously will be coming since they run the network now it was MUCH larger than merge will allow or even has allowed before the split. So lets not kid ourselves that isn't changing after the split. On top of that a 2k 200% bonus.. Merge also does not allow bonuses like that either.

Lock has its own independent cashier that is the fastest on merge atm. That cashier goes with them..
