Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

i agree with many of the other posters in this thread that the plo8 schedule is HORRIBLE. When will sites learn that while PLO might be a more popular cash game than PLO8 it is definately not more popular when it comes to tourneys.

I cant believe these words are coming out of my mouth but Lock should do what Absolute/UltimateBet did and create a strong Omaha hilow MTT schedule beginning at around 16:30 through 20:00 with a new multi starting every 30 minutes or so. This would allow PLO8 regs to get in decent MTT action without staying glued to their computer all day. Most regs would play all the tourneys during that time. The regs would know that between those times they can definately get a game. This also lets the casual player join in because youre catching them after work and before they go to sleep.

If you want the regs to play you need to create a schedule that makes it easy to remember without having to remember specific times. The way i suggest would let them know that in the evenings there will be a PLO8 MTT starting soon even if they missed the last one.

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

I also would like to see alot more PLO8 games. And God forbid, think about throwing in a couple NLO8 like we used to get on P*********

If you guys don't fix this, not only are you going to make me not want to play on Merge any more (less players now), but I'm not going to want to play on Revolution (failed promises) either!

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

heres an example of what i would recommend for daily PLO8 schedule that is realistic...

between midnight and noon i would run a few $1-3 rebuy along with some $2- $5 freezout tourneys with no guarantee

12:00 - $10 + rebuys with a guarantee
12:30 - $5 NLO8 freezout with a guarantee
13:00 - $10 turbo freezout with a guarantee

then until 16:30 i would go back to running the small buy in no guarantee schedule i ran between midnight and noon

16:30 - $5 + rebuys with a guarantee
17:00 - $3 + rebuys NLO8 with a guarantee
17:30 - $10 freezout with a guarantee
18:00 - $6 + rebuys turbo with a guarantee
18:30 - $5 freezout NLO8 with a guarantee
19:00 - $10 + rebuys with a guarantee
19:30 - $20 freezout with a guarantee
20:00 - $3 + rebuys turbo with a guarantee

then go back to the to running the small buy in no guarantee schedule while perhaps mixing in 1 more guarantee at around 22:00.

I would also recommend running some $1 + rebuys satellites for the next days guarantees. I would also have 1 weekly big buy in plo8 multi of $100+ and maybe 1 of around $50+ with them being deepstack freezouts.

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

Exactly like shaunnn said - these things need to be one right after another. If I have to wait 2 hours or more between these games, I'm not going to waste my entire night and play ANY of them!! Who knows.. I could have been waiting around for the game to get started, and then get knocked out (hopefully not) way before the money. Then what am I supposed to do? Go take a couple hour nap while I wait for the next one to start???? No I don't think so. I will not play any of them to begin with. I will watch TV, or hang out with my friends. Probably playing some live poker at one of THEIR houses! NOT at Lock.

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

ok this is the PLO8 schedule the revolution network has come up with...LOL

0130 $3 PLO/8 unlimited rebuys11.5 hours until the next PLO8 multi

1300 $5 PLO/8 unlimited rebuys ($500 guaranteed)

1415 $6 PLO/8 freezeout ($200 guaranteed)

1600 $5 PLO/8 unlimited rebuys ($750 guaranteed)from 4pm until 9pm est. with no PLO8 multis....how is your everyday amateur who has to work the next morning supposed to play PLO8 when there are no tourneys running until 9pm and they probably wont end until well after midnight?

None of the following multis can anyone who has to work or get up with the kids in the morning play...There goes the fish!!!2100 $11 PLO/8 unlimited rebuys ($1k guaranteed)

2115 $5 PLO/8 freezeout ($150 guaranteed)

2130 $10 PLO/8 deep stacked freeze out ($500 guaranteed)

2215 $22 PLO/8 freezeout ($500 guaranteed)

8 total PLO8 multis a day is SAD!!!

Re: Lock Poker - Revolution Network full tournament schedule

Shane, thank you for keeping us well informed. I appreciate the effort put in here, but I'm afraid I share many of the sentiments as others on this thread in regards to PLO8 and O8 in general. By now, it's evident we all want more O8 tournies. There simply need to be more NLO8 tournaments out there as well. I'm particularly not sure what the risk is in running an NLO8 freeze out and an NLO8 rebuy and seeing what the results are? To me, an NLO8 rebuy seems like a rather profitable situation, don't you agree?

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that PLO8 MTTs are way way more popular than PLO MTTs, and it's simply irrational to give more weight to PLO MTTs over PLO8 MTTs in terms of frequency and guaranteed $ amounts!

yea, the o8 schedule looks pretty bad, please consider adding a larger buyin daily plo8 freez ($55+) along with an even bigger one on sunday, a few Lo8 mtts would be nice, as merge currently has none.

Is there any chance of Limit Holdem tournys making a comeback? this old dieing form is still popular and would be nice for a couple stakes of limit holdem to be there without the omaha offset.
