If you can have RB at Lock, then for 1k rake, you can accept $500 instead of the iPad2 and get 85% RB, whereas for 1k rake you will get $80 + $350 RB, so only 43% RB

I sent in account verification documents on the 21st and heard back this morning, so they are backlogged but they seem to be working through it.

Rizen, any advance info on May promos? Running Battle of the Ronin again?

I just realized something. Where is the "CASHIER" button on Lock Poker?

EDIT: nevermind, I had to restart...now I see it

I will steer that affiliate to this thread. I'm not sure how you would sign up without the promo through that particular affiliate. I'm pretty sure that there is a $500 cash option instead of the iPad, and then you would still be able to make a second deposit for the $1200 bonus, so if you don't want an iPad that is probably the best option.

Battle of the Ronin is running again. There are a few other things as well, but not sure if I'm supposed to talk about them yet or not.

What is Lock Poker doing that is different from the top 3 sites? PS/FT/UB were bigger targets, but is Merge/Lock using the same deposit/cash out practices that they were?

After black Friday, what makes Lock Poker confident that they will not be shut down? Why should players feel comfortable keeping money on there, when even the top 3 sites were vulnerable to having players funds frozen?
I cannot really answer questions specific to the Merge network, those would need to be asked directly to them. I'm sure you can understand that Lock isn't really in position to be answering questions on behalf of the entire network.

What I can say is that Lock Poker does not/did not follow the same practices as the top 3 sites did prior to or after black Friday in regards to deposits/cash outs. We have been processing withdrawals since then and even though it is backed up people in this very thread have mentioned receiving funds since then.

Play a small sesh last night trying to get used to the software and was surpised when i earned 1.50 credit from the ronin. Didn't know about that promotion, and i'm very excited that it's going to happen in May. It's a great promotion.

yap I made the math 2 or 3 days ago and it is something like 25% extra value for people who rake 2k+ month. Sick value imo.

Anyone know what model iPad 2 they will ship out? I'm assuming it's just going to be the 16GB WiFi (base) model. It'd be nice to get it from lock and save 8.1% Nevada state tax but I'm thinking about just getting $500 cash option and putting it towards a 32GB 3G+WiFi white model as a birthday gift for my GF. That's if they can process cash withdrawals successfully.

Still undecided on which merge site to sign up with. Can anyone shed light on the following:

I got an email from P5's with an Ipad 2 offer for Lock Poker (rake $1,000 by May 31st, get an Ipad 2) Am I also eligible for the deposit bonus of 200% up to $1,200? If yes, this sounds like the best sign up deal on a merge network. But it seems like more people are signing up to Carbon Poker instead, am I missing something?

You can use the ipad 2 offer, clear it, and then make another deposit for the 200% bonus. Read the entire thread, there's a lot of good info here.

You actually get 60 days from your first signup according to Rizen in the thread, and also I confirmed via email support. But still YMMV. Im going to be pushing into June to get the ipad probably as is, I'm planning to take the full 60 days...

How are the limit games on Lock?

From my limited experience they are pretty soft. Depends on what stakes you're looking at as far as game selection goes. The games are mostly six max, although some full ring games run. between .5/1 and 3/6 there are 4-5 games running in off peak hours and often ~10 running during peak hours. The limit traffic has been increasing lately so it may be more than that soon. There is a 15/30 game running right now and i've seen 5/10-30/60 games run with some regularity although there are rarely more than 1-2 running at a time right now.

Is it standard or accepted practice for the Cardroom Manager to play on the site he is managing? I've been at several tables with EricLynch (Rizen, right?) the past few days and I have to say that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I'm sure you're a standup guy, but damn I can't help but feel like I'm playing Russ Hamilton.

There aren't many precedents really as not many sites have a poker room manager. I think this is covered somewhere either in this thread or another thread. Right now part of my job description involves being active on the site and playing in various sorts of games so I can make recommendations for improvements etc. To be quite honest, this often involves me playing in games that are definitely NOT my strong suit and costs me money.

If you're that concerned you can def sharkscope me (I'm almost positive I'm a net loser in SnGs, never really been a huge SnG guy). If it still bothers you I recommend letting support know. quite honestly when I am playing there is often a very specific purpose behind it and it is almost always at fairly low stakes. I can definitely understand the concerns, but I have ZERO access to any of the back end systems, and if you look at my results it would be REALLY difficult for me to be pulling anything shady and putting up such meager results

Fair enough. It wasn't really too much of a concern, just never saw anything like that on another site. I've been around long enough to know when something shady is going on, and this doesn't really set off any alarms to me. Just wanted to see your response.

Can I exchange my VIP points for cash at any point? Can I do anything else with them? Any reason to not exchange them?
04-27-2011 , 01:11 AM
Probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyways: I just deposited on lock a few days ago. If I wanted to withdraw, I see that i need to send in documents to verify my identity. One of the documents is a utility bill. Since I live with my parents, they pay all the utilities and thus the bills are under their name. Thus, I don't pay any utilites where I live, with my parents, thus I don't have any utility bills. So my question is, how would I send in a copy of my utility bill if I dont have one?????
04-27-2011 , 01:29 AM
Send a copy of your bank statement. They accept that as well. I assume you have a personal bank account. Make sure it's recent and it shows your name and adress.

Why am I getting this message when I try to access the cashier page? "The feature you have requested requires an active account, please log in to continue." And then when I enter the proper information it either tells me "invalid email address or password" or "an error occured. Please contact support." Support does not answer things in a timely manner so I am hoping to get some help from Rizen and/or acknowledgement from other players to see if the same problem is going on. Support needs to get it together btw.
