If this is really true PM me with your e-mail address you signed up for Lock Poker on and I will talk to them. I've NEVER heard of this kind of thing on Lock. Everyone I've talked to who has played there has been super happy with both support and cash out times.
I've played on Lock since March 2009, long before I was the poker room manager there and have never had issues with cash outs.
So, if this is a serious issue, please PM me and I will get to the bottom of it.

Re: Lock Poker
Off-topic but I have to ask:
Rizen - Are you in the US? (sorry I forget). If so, are you especially concerned about all this DOJ stuff? If not, do you still have some amount of concern about the DOJ stuff?
Thanks for posting in this thread by the way. Interesting that you apparently aren't cutting ties with them after the Black Friday stuff went down. Nobody would blame you if you did.

Send me a PM with your e-mail and forward me what you sent to support and I will make sure it gets looked into.
As far as the 24/7 live support goes normally it is VERY good but obviously the last week or so we've had VERY high volume. We are working on getting the times down and normally the e-mail responses go out in a very reasonable time frame (hours, not days).

Rizen -- If I deposited on Cash Transfer, what withdrawal options will I have eventually? I know check (any fees?) but anything else?
I also joined for thenuts ipad promo -- I have conflicting reports that there is no expiration date, or it's May 31st. Rizen can you confirm? Game availability is tough at the stakes I prefer on Lock but they were tough-ish on FT, so no surprise on Lock obv. It'll be tough to grind the iPad though by May31st for me personally.
Thoughts?
Cash transfer was IMO the best option on FT, and continues to be on Lock. There is a fee, but its fixed and kinda insignificant versus the advantages. Again PM me with questions.
|
I believe check will be the only option available to you unless you deposit with another method. I made a small deposit via UseMyWallet (I think it was like $10) to make that available to me and it is what I use. There is a small check fee ($15). There are no fees that i'm aware of for the eWallet options.
For the iPad promo, you have 60 days from the time you signed up to clear it.

Re: Lock Poker
I thought the ipad2 promo was through the affiliates. If someone signs up for Lock Poker, not through an affiliate, and clears the promo in 60 days, then the ipad is ours?
My problem is that I already have signed up for through an affiliate for a different merge skin. However, I would be willing to rake $1k on Lock for an ipad 2.
Finally, can we clear a first time deposit bonus and have the rake generated contribute to the ipad promo?

No, I think i posted this above, when you use the ipad promo you dont get a deposit bonus. The deposit bonus will be on the first deposit AFTER you clear the iPad bonus. And if you sign up for the iPad bonus the rakeback doesnt count towards your ipad clear. So you need to rake ~$1540 to "rake" $1000 since youd be getting the ~$540 in RB. Just wanted to clarify, this was confirmed by a admin on their site via email.
Rizen, so I should ignore the May 31st fine print everywhere on the iPad2 promo literature? If i signed up on April 18th I have 60 days from then to earn the iPad2? (i.e. till midnight on June 16th)
Thanks!

Re: Lock Poker
Also, FWIW, having a "First Deposit Bonus of 200%" and "iPad2 Giveaway" wording in the same ad, and then only giving said bonus on the Second (or more) deposit, and not letting them overlap in any way....?
That part is a bit of a (-) in my book. So Lock definitely gets dinged for that. I got nothing at FT except FTP's though, so overall no complaints whatsoever. "Just" a misleading ad. Hopefully thats the only negative, if I'd have known that before my deposit I may very well have changed my mind. But now that I'm on I'm happy. I guess if anything this is 100% proof that the ad worked, eh? :-P

Re: Lock Poker
Two questions:
1. Can I see the value of my VIP points in cash before exchanging them?
2. Will the exchange effect rakeback or bonuses in any way?
Thanks.

Maybe they've changed the promotion now but this was NOT was I had to to (I already completed the promo). I had to get 6500 VIP points which is really $1000 rake and got 35% rakeback from that. (so only $650 actual rake)

You are correct that the ipad2 promo is exclusive to a few affiliates, I know there is a banner that runs on 2+2 for one of them, but I also know that one of the affiliates is a competitor so I'm not sure what is okay to mention here and what is not, but it is not for users who just sign up for Lock Poker.
You are allowed to be signed up on more than 1 merge skin, but I believe your account has to be inactive for a certain amount of time to be eligible for rakeback. I know the affiliate can help with this specifically as I'm not 100% sure on the details, but I'm fairly sure that having an account on another merge skin doesn't prohibit you from entering the promotion. That would be an affiliate specific question though.

I'll reread the email they wrote back tonight -- I think i remember it the other way, but I also remember 6500 VIP points needed. So since I'm sure of the latter part its more likely that you have it right, as 10000*.65 makes a lot more sense than 6500 *.65.
Did you earn the ipad then? Have you received it yet? Mind sharing a few details? Did it arrive to an address in the US?
I am sure about the deposit bonus part, though. We can use it on our first non iPad promo deposit.
Thanks for sharing!

by way of edit: yes a second deposit is required to get the 200% deposit bonus
oerrr is absolutely correct as well. For rakeback users the rake doesn't count against you so you would still be getting the rakeback as well as the iPad2 off $1000 rake.

I'm not sure if you actually 'exchange' the VIP points for the promo if that's what you're talking about. VIP points are exchanged for cash via the player admin screen at a rate of .01 per point, so the value of 6500 pts would only be $65.
Exchanging doesn't impact rakeback or bonuses to the best of my knowledge.
