Lock Poker, in their statement immediately after the the Girah disqualification, claimed that a) they audited Girah's account and b) that he won the competition legitimately.

At this time, we know b) to be completely false. Haseeb "DogIsHead" Qureshi admitted to dumping ~$100K into Girah's account. Which means a) either you didn't conduct an audit, as you claimed or b) you pretty much suck at auditing, since even a blind chimpanzee could catch a $100K chip dump at completely different stakes and vs. an opponent that never played.

So Lock Poker is either dishonest or incompetent. Either way, a full explanation and apology is in order, and you can bet I'll never put a dime onto your site, and will tell any player in any thread that I see asking about Lock the full story and discourage them from playing here if you are unable to own up to your mistakes.
Perfect and concise analysis.

Rizen claimed he would quit if it was proven that Lock is a corrupt company, but here is the proof, and he hasn't quit.

And now there's the arguably worse Casino Bonus scandal, and again Rizen is making excuses and doing his best Joe Sebok impersonation.

If this thread isn't proof that Lock is a corrupt and dishonest company, I don't know what is.

(Also big LOL at the 'legal action' excuse!)

Lets not jump to conclusions guys.. Rizen probably has his hands tied behind his back.

Was there legal actions because of this? (IE - has anyone sued or had girah arrested because of this?) I know he "claimed" to have refunded the money to some of the people he scammed big time, but my concern is, these are just the some of the guys that were on HERE (2p2) that caught him. I am almost certain that there are others out there that have been scammed by him and his partner.

I hope Lock is not as corrupt as you guys make it out to be. So far, I would give them a B rating, personally.

But back to my original point, if there are some legal actions against lock or girah, then maybe Rizen cant publicly comment on the case due to legal reason's and / or lawyers recommendations.

Excuse my noobness, I have just found out about this scandal / scam yesterday and I do not know the ins and outs of it all yet. So if I said something obvious or un-relevant, I apologize ahead of time.

They don't get a B rating. They get an F rating.

This was obvious cheating from the start, and they chose to award Jose the prize until everyone expressed outrage.

Rizen's excuses, while wordy, are full of crap. He tried to make us believe that Lock just worded their press release poorly, when anyone not born yesterday could tell that the press release was specifically worded to make it look like Jose was disqualified for a minor rule violation, but still had legitimately won the contest. Why else would the phrase "legitimately won enough from his IP" have been used, especially when IP addresses were never part of the accusations of cheating? The accusations were all about chip dumping, and Lock knew that.

This was 100% a cover-up, and for Rizen to imply otherwise is insulting to our intelligence.

By why go through so much just to cover it all up? Just to keep it all hush hush so Lock Poker doesn't look bad? Idk, I guess I never read the press release and like I said, I just heard of this late last night, so I don't know all the facts.

Has Jose said anything since his post here admitting what he did and his apologies?

Jose has never been heard from again (on 2p2), although someone in one of the NVG threads claimed he was playing again (I can't recall the network) but refused to give out the screen name, which I thought was ridiculous.

Scammers deserve zero anonymity.

Bump.

Is the legal action ongoing still? Can you answer the questions now?

Re: Lock Poker has questions to answer [ref girah scandal] (X post from NVG)

So we can safely conclude that Lock Poker's security system is either completely useless (not being able to detect obvious chipdump) or pretty much every statement they made in regards to the girah scandal was either purposely misleading or an outright lie.

After handling the whole affair so poor that it basically takes sole incompetence out of question their representative stops replying regarding this topic at all.

What online poker taught me in recent years is that a lack of information usually means that something very shady went on.

I don't understand why players are so lenient to poker rooms and still play on those sites.

I also don't understand what the point of a poker room rep is when they are allowed to ignore pressing matters for months now.

Would be nice to see if some 2plus2 rep put a bit of pressure on them regarding this issue

Regardless, I will strongly discourage anyone from putting 1 cent on this shady site

Disapointed that LockRizen is ignoring this issue now.
