RB vs VIP (FPP's vs VIP's?!) RB vs VIP (FPP's vs VIP's?!)

After speaking with a customer service agent, They told me that being on RB you earn FPP's and not VIP points. This is confusing to me as when I login to my "Player Admin" it shows VIP points and I am on RB..

I don't earn enough points to be a VIP player and it is more viable to be a RB player for me currently

Crista - Hello and welcome to our Live Chat service. Can you please confirm your email address so we may better assist you?
you - XXXXX. com
Crista - How can I help you today?
you - I am inquiring about my bVIP points
you - They do not seem correct
you - I deposited and started playing on Nov 1st.. I have 84 points, but says only 76 earned this month
Crista - hello XXXX
Crista - I can see you're a rakeback player, I'm afraid a rakeback player can't earn VIP points at the same time
you - What do you mean? I am earning them daily, they just don't acrue as fast
Crista - Please note that players can not collect both Rakeback and VIP rewards.
you - I understand not collecting the rewards, but VIP points are still collected
you - Even as a RB player
you - Otherwise how would bonuses be tracked? Please ask your co-workers b/c I feel you have limited knowledge
you - Not too be rude
Crista - I've just checked and once you've chosen for rakeback, you can't earn VIP points
you - So if I chose RB, how would my bonus be tracked then?
you - Your logic doesn't make sense
you - Bonuses are tracked via VIP points
Crista - no that's tracked by FPPs
you - Well in the "Player Admin" they are called VIP points
you - Just so your aware
you - So the next person that asks you may give them the correct information
Crista - I'm afraid that's different thing

Crista - for your information
Crista - Whenever you are awarded a bonus the funds will be placed into the pending credit section of your account. When you have a bonus in the pending credit section of your account, you can earn it back by playing in real money ring or tournament games.
Crista - For every $2 that is raked at a table where you are dealt cards, you will earn one Frequent Player Points (FPP). We are accurate to the penny, so if your table was raked $2.50, you will receive 1.25 FPP or if your table was raked $6.00, you will receive 3 FPP. Each FPP is worth $.06 towards your bonus.
Crista - For each $2 worth of tournament fees you pay, you’ll earn 7 Frequent Player Points (FPP) for them once you’re done in the tournament. Just like Real Money Games, we are accurate to the penny, so for a $1 tournament fee, you will receive 3.5 FPP.
Crista - Your Deposit Bonus sits in your Pending Bonus account, waiting for you to earn it. Your bonus will be paid back in $5 increments for every 83.33 FPPs earned (or less if the last amount in your pending bonus is less than $5). Each time you earn a payment, your Pending Bonus will decrease until the balance reaches zero.

Support is ****ing clueless, wow.

To clarify: I've not noticed any inconsistencies personally in VIP points balances and actual VIP points earned. Are you sure you didn't earn the other 8 points last month instead? (anything before 10 days ago?).

RB players indeed DO earn VIP points, at half the rate VIP players do, afaik. 1$ in Tournament rake would then earn you 3,5 Vip points, the rate at cash tables is around the same, but depends on the table size. Bigger tables with more players will earn you more VIP points per dollar, HU would earn you the least.

FPPs simply don't exist anymore on Lock. Maybe there's still some internal system they use for it (which i doubt much), but it's in no way presented to their customers at least. I'm 99% sure she's just really clueless

"Bonus will be paid out in increments of $5, for each 84 VIP points earned." This is entirely correct for you aswell, but this means you earn the bonus at half the rate aswell: you earn the required 84 VIP points at half the rate, after all (compared to VIP players).

Furthermore, i suggest swapping over to VIP once you hit WhiteVIP: the bonus equals to around 40% Rakeback in itself, earning this at half the rate obviously means 20% lost. WhiteVIP (15% RB) vs RB (36% RB) = 21% difference, -20% = 1%, but then you also earn VIP points at half the rate (which can be converted to $), and you earn Rake chase levels at half the rate.

Just a suggestion ;-)

Excellent, Thanks for the information! Everything seemed to be lagging a bit and caught up once I woke up this morning.

I had one more question, Where is it that I can track once I have raked enough to hit WhiteVIP so I can make the switch?!

Thanks

I'm WhiteVIP, I switched to VIP from rakeback about 2 weeks ago, and it appears I am not getting near 40% Rakeback from the bonus. Today I raked $96.90 per the Admin section on Lock but only cleared $15 of my bonus. Am I correct in assuming that I am still earning the points at the rate of 50% that of a VIP player? I've cleared $90 of my bonus total, but have raked ~$450 since I started playing.

I play 6max tables that probably avg. 4.5 players on a table at any given time.

Thanks for any insight.

the bonus' as i understand it are cleared by your pts accumalation which are based on how much the table rakes each hand. So the pts earned as opposed as the mgr would be a better gauge. If your mgr of 96.9 was your pts, you'd only have cleared $5 of your bonus where you actually cleared $15

In other words, if at a nine person table the rake for any given hand was $1, you receive 1 point although your generated rake would be .11
