lol@ this being on seperate tables. The Double Agent thing is already ******ed, and now you have MORE tables you want players to play on?

Yet another promo that is very confusing, way to go Lock...

The email states that the promo is 9am-1pm EST, but I see the tables highlighted in red now at 2:30pm. Also why are there unique tables, are the double points only earned through these tables? Seems terribad to make 3 unique tables.

Here's an idea that combines ALL 3 promotions running atm:

1. No unique Double Agent tables: Instead allow LOCK players to earn points towards both Rake Chases playing on ANY table, but at a slower rate towards the Double Agent levels.

2. Happy Hour on every table obv, and I hope this is the way it is already. Are these tables exclusive to Lock players like the DA tables? If so, you are thinning the player pool even further.

3. Make everything CLEAR when promoting something, would be much easier on everyone if this ran smoothly with no confusion. You are making Lock players make choices of whether or not they should max their RB,RC,Points, etc., or table select against the worse players on all skins. Let's face it, Lock has the most "grinders" and more competent players than all other skins combined. Makes for boring, less-profitable poker that the average recreational player just isn't gonna want to play in for too long, if at all.

I love all of the promotions, don't get me wrong, I just don't agree with how they are being executed. You need to execute them in a way that attracts novice players also, not just rake back whores.

The lobby is officially a cluster ****.
12-07-2012 , 08:54 PM
so why are happy hour tables still running? 7 hours after the stated end time? Wondering if we're still earning double points via these tables.

agree that it is a cluster three types of tables is ridiculous, either make the happy hour with double agent or normal tables not separate

Shane, can you please answer the very relevant questions on your site's promos? We still have no idea how this one works. A little help please?

I can confirm happy hour is across all tables not just the happy hour tables.
12-12-2012 , 12:25 PM
Then remove the happy hour tables.

Lol, I'm actually sure its the case & also fail to see the point of them myself. On the bright side, it actually is nice to get the double points...little less red in the lobby would be nice also however.

Thanks!

so the next logical question for you Shane: Do the happy hour tables labelled as such give you happy hr double points at all times?

What Justin said.

What are the happy hour tables? Please provide an explanation.

They are a permanent advertisement to the Happy Hour promotion.

A lot of the fishier traffic comes through not really knowing what promotions or value is about, this puts something right in their line of sight.

While for some of our more experience players the extra colour in the lobby is a slight annoyance, we are hoping these tables become a bit of a beacon to the less experienced players encouraging them to learn more about the promotion and maybe even play some more.

Sorry if this was already answered but do you also get double points for the race chase during happy hour or just your overall points since the chase is measured in rake?

Anyone else having issues logging in? I'm getting a "Timeout - Client Side Timeout". Perfect timing since the Happy Hour was supposed to start now.

I am also experiencing that problem.

Does the double point happy-hour also apply to SNGs and Tournaments, or just the cash ring games?

Ha, good point. Fail

You're wrong about this. There are professional poker players playing on lock that don't know what your promotions are. Now you have blue tables, red tables(which mean absolutely nothing and normal tables and no one knows wtf is going on.

Not only has it not brought more players in. It has decreased the amount of fish sitting in. Will you guys hire a player to run these ideas by before you implement them? This is pretty straightforward stuff. Who makes these decisions?

Shane, are the colored tables only accessible to players using the Lock poker skin? Or are they available to all players on the Revolution network?

This isn't a complaint by any means, just an observation. While I appreciate the good intentions on the traffic idea (although I find it hard to believe there's people more experienced at being fishes than myself, lol) I sometimes see some of the red tables hosting games while the blue tables are blank...durring time periods when "Happy Hour" isn't actually active. I suspect that the "beacon" will possibly only bring about complaints when they find out they were playing short handed at a table that didn't award them double pts at that particular time whilst they "perceived" because of that "beacon" they would be earning double points.

I was just good naturedly making a "play on the wording im my post" joke about the red in the lobby; I honestly don't care one way or the other and if anything like the contrasting colors of blue, black & red. Just a thought, and like I said, its not a complaint. Me, I'm grateful for any and all promotions I can actually take part in...especially the well intentioned ones.

Cheers,
John

I usually try start a lot of games at mid stakes. From my experiences this month, I have had much more trouble getting those games going. I personally think the colored tables are to blame. Although I am sure there could be other factors contributing.
