Lock Poker cashout thread (10 WEEK MINIMUM WAIT) - not a transfer thread (see OP) - Page 222 - Two Plus Two

Think this is the third time I've said this, but just because the funds are now fully available to you does not mean the check has fully cleared.

That said, I haven't seen any reports of bounced checks from recent batches so you are probably fine anyway. But banks routinely make full check amounts available to customers days, if not weeks, before the check fully clears their central bank/processor.

How do you know when your check has finally cleared? Can you just ask the bank?

I mean, your local branch doesn't track checks once they go forward for processing. I was just a teller, I'm not sure how exactly they would go about finding out, although I assume it's probably possible. Call or email your local branch, I guess, and find out if there is some way you can be informed when the check is fully cleared?

So far none of the recent checks have bounced, and the ones that arrived a month or more ago would have cleared by now.

Each bank has different policies, but a partial availability of a check isn't unheard of, no. However, it was usually just perhaps a part of the check available up front, then the rest available later, not in increments. In other words, I'd expect the next amount available to be the full amount.

As for a fee, again, that's going to depend on your bank.

Every time I email lock I get some bs telling me to be patient blah blah blah. I recently received an email saying I am at the top of the list for payment so I guess we will see how long it takes to pay out the top of the list

That's your call. If you withdraw it and the check bounces, your bank will come after you for the funds.

That said, AFAIK no one has reported bounced checks from Lock with any of the recent batches. So in my opinion, you should be pretty safe. But that's a choice only you can make. If you want to be absolutely safe, wait about 21 business days (it can take foreign checks that long to clear) before withdrawing.
