So, are all checks bouncing again, or what? Has anyone received one in the past few days that didn't bounce?

This coming from the guy who clearly ignores PMs-- he has time to write a post in a thread back to you- but will blatantly ignore PM's from people waiting on bank transfers..... Nice...

I am generally a very patient person when it comes to worrying about poker cashouts. They are beyond our control and in the current climate, we all know that delays are inevitable. But I have now been waiting two months for my courier check to arrive.

My courier check withdrawal was processed on 1/24. There have been several people who have posted ITT who requested checks well after mine who have received theirs in a timely fashion. After waiting for 6 weeks, I finally decided it was necessary to contact support to see if they could help me by finding out the status of my check. I was told that they would contact the Cashier Manager who would then update me "ASAP" and credit my account if necessary.

Two weeks later I have still heard nothing. A follow up email from me this week was also replied to with the message that the Cashier Manager will contact me "ASAP". Personally, I think it is absolutely unacceptable that no one with any real information is willing to take the time to at least tell me they are aware of my problem and looking into it.

If you are considering depositing on Lock because you have heard the cashouts are being processed quickly know this: it never lasts for long. It may be a couple of days or a few weeks from now, but something will happen and everyone will be back to waiting as long as I have for this check. When that happens, you will be forced to deal with a company who couldn't care less about how long you have been waiting. You will find out that when you email customer support, there is about a 50% chance that your email will be completely ignored. You will find out that you are dealing with a poker company who doesn't care about whether or not you ever see your money. Sound familiar?

There are countless skins on Merge that all offer the same service. Do yourself a favor and continue to shop around. There is bound to be a few that understand that when everybody is selling the same product, the way to differentiate themselves is by actually making an attempt to help their customers when the site makes a mistake.

I'm still hoping to see my money at some point. I'll continue to update the thread with any developments.
I promised to update you all on my situation and so I shall. There is no change. I have yet to receive a single email from support or the cashier with any info regarding my situation. Nothing!

Last week I PM'd Shane because he seems to be in contact with the processor. In true Lock fashion, I was ignored.

On Monday of this week, I contact Rizen to see if he could help me with an update. He passed an email along to Customer Support. They still have yet to contact me.

I only send one email a week, and I am always very polite. I have not spammed the forum with "the sky is falling" posts or conspiracies about the company. For anybody who is researching Lock to see if they should deposit there, my story alone should be enough for you to think twice before doing it. Combine my story with the countless other angry posts you see in this thread, and there should be no doubt remaining. Lock is not the best site for your money.

How sad is it that at this point I actually feel like I am more likely to see my FT money than my money from Lock?

Cliffs: Waiting >10 weeks for a check
No info from Lock about my situation

Update...received communication from Lock support this morning. I received my first wire with two more to come. Hoping that Lock will continue to provide support to the many players who are awaiting their funds. I hope that Lock will also implement a procedure that will place a sense of urgency on paying the players with legitimate funds in a timely fashion. Special thanks to Shane for his assistance; it's comforting to know that Lock does in fact have representatives who do the best that they can within their means to get a situation remedied.

Just today I got a response from support they said they are sending a replacement check Tuesday morning I will update when I receive it

Well this is just my guess guys. Lock has a special business plan where a certain percentage of players cashouts will always have failed transactions and problems so that when the day comes they will for sure have that percentage of stalled cashouts to steal from the players. But the way things are you have to risk it and play on lock because there is no other US site that is safer.

Such bs that we actually have to worry about checks bouncing. I've got two on the way and if they bounce its gonna hurt pretty bad.

some faith I guess!

Hi,

Just a quick update about your outstanding Direct Bank Transfer.

As we reported just over a week ago we had previously sent a request to the processor to put a trace on all the outstanding Direct Bank Transfers. In response to this the processor did get some more transfers out but we did not receive the results of a trace.

We have adjusted out list for transfers we know have gone out now and yours is one that still remains outstanding. We are now forwarding your account to the processor with a much sterner request for an urgent trace on your transfer so we can finally put this long overdue matter to rest.

I again apologise for the ridiculous delays in this process, we had hoped the Direct Bank Transfer option would be amazing for us but instead its turned out to be a nightmare and we are truly sorry it has not met our expectations and in turn it has let you down.

I will advise you as soon as we have word on the traces what action we will be taking from here.

Best,

Shane

Lock told me 5-10 buisness days for my check, yesterday was the 11th.I really dont mind if it took 20 days,as long as they made sure it was within the amt of time they tell us.Im not hatin on lock, but when you spend 3 months grinding your ace off it sucks worrying about something as recieving a check that was sent out 2 weks ago.

So, in addition to the problem of my lost check, I also cannot get access to my Vault. I have tried to set up a PIN in IE, Firefox, and Safari using both the numbers at the top and the keypad. It does not work, so I have no way to convert my points to cash. Also, even though they know it does not work, they will not let me disable the Vault.

What do you mean by setting up a pin?Have you never gone to your vault?

I requested several checks last month and received them. I have tried to make requests since then but it keeps telling me I have reached my maximum for this month (I haven't gotten any checks this month).
I've flooded their support box with over 30 emails the last two weeks and got just one response saying I made too many withdrawals. Seems like they have improved their customer support.

Lock Poker = Ponzi Scheme

1. Take deposits immediately
2. Accidentally spends said deposit money on coke and toothless hookers while pretending to separate player funds from operational funds.
3. Offer slow to non-existent withdrawal methods
4. Slowly pay winning players with new funds from deposits

Not that it matters, but here's the policy of one of our old buddies Pokerstar's:

Like any eCommerce business, PokerStars receives monies from payment processors with a delay of a few days to a few weeks. Regardless of this delay, PokerStars transfers funds on a daily basis from its operational accounts to the players' segregated accounts. This way, while payment processors could end up not making the transfers of the processed monies into PokerStars for any reason, this risk is borne by the company, not the players. PokerStars performs this process under the scrutiny of the regulators it holds licenses from.

At this point, it's clear lock poker is either highly incompetent or criminal

that's a pretty ignorant statement. There is no evidence supporting that. Everyone should expect withdrawals to take a while in this climate in the US. Everyone is getting their money eventually. If you can't handle the sweat then move to another country.

When somebody ends an argument with "if you don't like it move to another country," that's how you can tell they really know what they're talking about. For the record, there seems to be a bunch of people who have not received cashouts that were supposed to go through months ago, which you would know if you read this thread.

Makes me scared to cash out a check even when I receive one...lol
04-08-2012 , 10:16 PM
On a side note, is anyone outside the us having these same cash out problems?
04-08-2012 , 11:35 PM
It would be nice if someone could confirm that they have recently and successfully cashed a check from lock.
04-08-2012 , 11:49 PM
Sorry if this has been answered but how does a cashout via WU work? With the current check situation would it better to do WU?
04-09-2012 , 12:04 AM
Ya it would be nice to hear that someone received a check lately.Still waiting on one that was processed 3/27,I think zackryan got one processed abt the same time,i wonder if he's received his.
04-09-2012 , 12:47 AM
I've recieved 3 checks from lock thus far - all came in a timely manner and all cleared no problem....people need to chill out - its in their best interest to get money out to the customers and Im sure theyll continue to be on time.

bank wire requested sometime around 3/1/12 (not sure, transaction does not show up in cashier)

after three weeks, i emailed support and they said it would be one more week.

it has now been 5 (maybe 6?) weeks. not receiving responses from support anymore.
