A well run business should not forget about something like this! As it is only putting them in the wrong light, offering a promo and "never" naming the winner.
From my point of view even the april winner wasnt announced well enough. I mean they are offering 12k package to someone playing at lock and thats a great promo as even the micro players were able to participate. So when the winner is drawn, the info should reach every player and not only the ones that search for it.
So it's 48 hours from when exactly?
Seriously, now I feel like Lock is trying to get out of paying a $12k prize.
Please tell me I'm wrong about that.
You can't possibly have forgotten to do pick a winner. This is being totally ignored.
Last I heard was end of the week. It's not being ignored there's just obviously a lot of things being prioritized. I'll follow up now and see if this is still happening as it's pretty much the end of the week now. It will be re-instated and awarded retroactively though and it's going to happen.
I'll follow up and post something else before the end of the day.
Thanks Rizen. nice to hear. Since it was an automatic/random selection type thing (I thought) I don't really understand what exactly about it needs to be prioritized.
Pick one random winner through whatever randomizer/automatic selection thing you have. Announce him. Hooray.
Additionally, Shane already said that it was going to be taken care of within 48 hours....on June 16. Obviously he was aware of the various different aspects of the network/site that you referenced when he said that. I assume somebody at Lock told him that it would be in 48 hours (otherwise he just made it up, right?)
So even a little episode like this when Lock's own spokesperson says something will get done and then it doesn't, and then Lock says, "it's really busy which is why we didn't do it" reflects on Lock's professionalism and offers insight into whatever weird communication gaffes and issues you have going on even with the likely small number of people involved there.
So yeah, the excuse "we've got a lot going on. We'll get to it and some point" is already odd to me on its face. But directly contradicting the other rep who posted 13 days ago that this would be done near-immediately is even more noticeable.
Sorry but i still couldnt find the monthly winner being announced, which was basically the point of the last 20 post. Still thanks for bringing back the lock lotto.
Shane, you should have posted again previously to mention a delay. It is simply more professional and better communication with your customers. Avoiding it after saying you would post again in 48 hours was bad form.
Glad you are getting back to this though and aren't blowing off the whole thing or anything weird like that as was an understandable speculation from the sudden silence.
