anyone else have crashing problems with their lock client? im playing on 64 bit windows 7 machine. just curious if other ppl have the problem also or its just my computer.

Do you leave your PC running all the time? I'm not a tech expert, but most of the problems I've run into were memory related problems, and unfortunately many of the programs we use daily have 'memory leaks' where they don't release the memory properly to be used again. I'm using kind of an old laptop with limited memory, and even if I'm not running the poker client the stuff I use daily causes issues if I don't restart every few days.

If you have a lot of memory on your computer I'm at a bit of a loss, and if it keeps occuring and you think it's the culprit, I can certainly get someone from the technical team to contact you.

switched to 3 new stick of ram, 12gb total.....reformatted and fresh installed win 7...still crashes on my PC but not on my mac....

Can you either here/PM/e-mail let me know what programs are running on your machine at the time you experience the issue? I can get someone from our technical team in touch with you but want to provide them with as much info as possible. Antivirus programs are the only ones I'm currently aware of that interfere with the client at all.

I have been having problems getting the lock poker client to even load. When I try to open it I get the splash screen, I can see the client.exe executable in the process list and before the lobby loads, the process dies. I have made exceptions to the firewall. I am running windows vista home premium 32 bit with 4G ram. Runs fine on my windows XP laptop. I am piggy backing my help request on this thread because I have made several requests for help on this issue to support and gotten no response

mine keeps crashing too, about every other day or so. although one day i had it crash 3 times in a row. about 5 mins apart from eachother. i restarted my computer and have started restarting my computer before i even start playing poker now daily. It still happens, but i havent had it happen 3 times in the same day since. sometimes it doesnt totally crash, and it just freezes up for a minute or so and leaves me sitting out at the table im at when it unfreezes. im running windows xp, with the maximum 3 gigs of ram, and have no other problems with other software, its also a recent install and doesnt have any programs running in the backround.

mine stopped crashing since the last update, but now there seems to be a problem waiting in line for the cash tables. it never informs me or asks me to sit in when its my turn, and other people are able to join. it doesnt even show the open seat for me while im waiting.

i use avast antivirus, firefox, and HEM, also itunes

I got a new pc a few months ago and every time I try to play on lock it freezes up after a few minutes and it is starting to cost me a lot in cash games and tourneys. I have had to resort to playing on my mac laptop that is 4 years old and it doesn't run into this freezing issue. I would really like to get this freezing issue fixed so I can play lock on my new computer. Rizen could you possibly help me with this?

If you want to send me your username/e-mail (either via PM or to rizen@lockpoker.com) I'll have someone on the technical team get back to you. Off the top of my head I'd recommend you make sure you don't have an anti-virus running in the background while you play and see if that fixes it, as that's the most common culprit of this kind of thing.

I uninstalled my Bit Defender Antivirus software on my PC and my tables have not frozen up since. It seems that the Antivirus software was incompatibale with the Lock software.

I Have had problems with both BCP and Carbon occasionally crashing mid game. If i kill the process and relaunch quickly, I can get back into my games. However, if this happens in succession too quickly I'll get kicked off my tables. I could turn off avast during the time I play... but I am not crazy on that idea obviously.

mines crashing every time i open lock client, is it possible that my anti virus is causing the problem ? im using Avira
