We have already seen people say they hate the software because you cant multi-table, so firstly want to make sure we are all talking about the most recent version of the software and then want to find out what you what changed.

We actually designed most of the Merge software update which should finally go live soon, so while we will launch with a Lock Skinned version of the existing Cake software we are already working on integrating our all the things we loved from our work on the Merge update as well as a few things we wanted which we couldn't get built in the Merge system.

I've been playing on cake since 2006 (and am on 4 tables of cake while I type this, and 7 tables of lock)

1.) Time bank feature please

2.) When resizing tables...the "smallest" size is HARD to see. So I play on the shrunk down version of the normal sized table. If we could always keep the "full sized but smaller sized" version, it'd be awesome. I hate when it "simplifies" when the table is at it's tiniest.

3.) Please get rid of the massive amount of bots on cake. I'll pm you the site name where you can buy the bot. But they're EVERYWHERE at cake full ring.

4.) No bad beat jackpot please. I HATE the BBJ on merge, and it's the reason I play so much on cake. If merge didn't have the BBJ, I'd play there 100% of the time.

I haven't played on Cake in awhile, but here's a few things that come to mind which I would like to see.
  1. Stability (does not crash/freeze/disconnect).
  2. Security.
  3. Multi-table friendly.
    • Good performance with lots of tables open.
    • Extremely clean and easy to read table appearance, at least via options -- I love Merge's mini mode!
    • Compatibility with hotkey software, such as AHK.
    • Options to limit popups!!!! (and any other potential interruptions/notices).
  4. Hand histories and tournament summaries (compatible with HEM and PT).

wait, will you be able to play on mac?

Comments on software (Did a test run for a couple days this week and hated it).

-When joining games, make it so that you can get on the waitlist for ALL the games of that level, not just 1 table.

-Make it so you can take notes ALL the time with it. There will be times im typing a note then it will just spaz out and start acting like im spamming the enter key when im not even touching it.

- When I try to color code more then 1 person on a table sometimes, there is a bug where it won't let you color code the second person.

If you don't understand why a solid winning full ring regular would be against a BBJ, then you're an idiot that probably doesn't win at poker anyways.

(disagreeing with my reasons is fine, but not even getting "why" makes you an idiot)

lol at all the vain attempts to school someone with 10 posts and a May 2012 registration date. Your reasoning and logic will probably work better on the wall that you are sitting next to.

Shane how will the signups work for the new network? Will lock adopt cake's policy or stick with merge's regarding which states are blocked, etc.?

Thanks for that link. It still said on the link that Cake does not allow HUDs though, even though you can still import the hands to HM. I'd like to hear more about that from a Lock rep to clear it up for everyone.

Not sure about HM but PT3/PT4 works on cake just as it would on lock, acr, etc.

You can email support at support@cakepoker.eu for a definite answer regarding HM, they respond within minutes normally.

I've been playing on Intertops a skin on the Cake Network since BF. I have no performance issues playing up to 12 tables on the software but I have high end PC. When I was playing on an older duo core laptop w/ 4gigs of ram the software would get laggy and unstable at about 6 tables.

A simple major improvement to the software would be an indicator in the lobby showing you which tables your already sitting at or are on the wait list for. Currently you have to click each table and look for your bolded name on the right.

Another thing that needs to be improved is the way the wait list functions. It's a bit tricky being there is a seperate menu for it and you can't just click join wait list at the table or lobby. You must click the button at the table or lobby and then again in the wait list popup menu.

I'll think of more stuff later.

The reason for the join date is because we had to reset passwords, and I have no idea which e-mail address I had for twoplustwo account, I think it was AT&T e-mail and I do not have there service any more so I cannot reset my regular 2+2 name. I been member at this forum since 2009.......... Tried all e-mails I have and nothing so I just went with new name.

I did not know the period of time here matter on what your point of view is, Everyone should be able to say what they think. Everyone is different and have different views on things, and some of us still act like there 12 year old.

i welcome the change

I really enjoyed Cake back in the day and with Lock running the show now, I think they have a shot at something nice. I wish them luck.

Cake's old software was fine, around 3-4 years ago, bring that back and improve it, the new software is a disaster.

they need to hire Kenny Powers and Stevie as Lock Pros.

SHANE--- Will us people with macs be able to play on the new software???
05-12-2012 , 11:49 PM
I've been playing on the Cake network through a variety of skins since early 2008. I actually like the software a lot more than the one on merge. But a time bank and showing the tables you are on in the lobby would be amazing. Also, Cake used to have pretty cool promos. Now they suck.

Lockpoker had a Mac version when it was originally on the Cake network so my guess is they are going to be using it again. But the software was terrible so you probably won't want to use it.

Cake 2.0 looks disgusting. The original 1.0 was way better and lots of players used to consider it their #3 site.

Does LOck plan on allowing aussie's to play poker anytime soon?
