Rizen, can you please confirm or deny that the remainder of the ipads have actually been or have not been shipped yet? As I'm starting to believe that the reason most Europeans haven't received their ipads yet, is because they just haven't been shipped/paid for/ordered yet...
I went to an apple store yesterday and they had 10+ ipads laying around of all sorts, so the story of apple europe not being able to deliver doesnt make sense to me.

the apple uk store is giving dispatch times as 1-3 working days. Is there even an apple Europe store?, most European countries have there own national store.

This is jsut so embarassing. First I talked my brother to play at FullTilt right before BF so he lost about 2K, after that I told him to join the IPAD2 Promo and now I have to tell him again, that I was wrong in terms of reliability of poker sites.

My understanding is that they've all been paid for and ordered already, but most have not been shipped. It's the EU promotional fulfillment center. I can follow up and try and get more details, but I really don't think I or anyone else at Lock has any reason to lie about this. I'm not sure if the promotional orders like we do have a different shipping priority or what the issue is there. I'll try and find more information, but I feel like if it was some sort of scam to take your money that the cash option would never have been on the table and the NA users would have had similar issues. Since the issues seem to be isolated to EU orders it does make sense when looking at it from my end.

From your end I can see how seeing iPads in an Apple store might give you the wrong message, so I'll follow up so I can answer with more details.

I'm not saying it's a scam, I would have made a thread in NVG if I thought that was the case, I just wanted to know where we're standing.
It's just hard to understand the whole situation when I see someone living 50km from where I live already have his iPad, the same goes for a lot of American and Canadian players. Yet somewhere along the way there was a bump and a lot of euro players didn't get them yet. And I'm just trying to figure out why there seem to be so many problems.

Yeah, I put a question in, and I do appreciate you bringing it up because it gives us a little to go back to them with. Obviously when they're telling us there is a severe shortage and I go to the Apple UK store (I actually went there to place an order today just to verify) and it says 1-3 days that is defnitely conflicting information.

I did confirm that we've pre-paid for all of the orders, so that's certainly not an issue or the hold up. I will let everyone know once I get a response back from them.

That's a sick deal, but my quess if since all orders already have been paid that we can't use that option.
But if you still have to choose between cash or Ipad I would definately choose the cash right now.

IMO in the future if there ever will be a promotion like this they should give people a coupon or something that we can print and than go to the local apple reseller and pick it up.

I would definitely take the $700. I'm sure the sole reason most of us actually took the iPad in the first place in europe is because the value is up there rather than the $500 cash option.

Well until you get your Ipad 2 the new Ipad will be introduced so here goes your little "win" through the sink. Anyone smart enough that has some interest about gadgets and electronics was aware that Apple has shortages in EU. What did you expect when choosing the Ipad rather than the money. Getting it in 2 days ?

Well. The delivery time of the official Apple store in Europe is 1-3 days so I'd say taking over 2 months is way beyond "reasonable time"

Throughout this promotion, everytime I checked the uk apple store the dispatch time was 1-2 weeks (yesterday when I checked, it was even less). No, I didn't expect to recieve it within 2 days, but I definitely didn't expect to be waiting for it 10 weeks after the orders were supposed to have been placed.

Well bad strategy from Lock poker It has no sense. I think all oversea players should be compensated.

When do they put this as an option, it is 10 of august. Everybody has finished their promotion, because the end date for clearing it was end of July.

This means they get away cheaply with this 700$ payout, because overall there aren't so much players that have to be paid out. Majority are US that got their Ipads or are getting paid 500$, because that is the price of Ipad 2 in the UNITED STATES, but that is not the price in EUROPE.

Some players already chose 500$ and Lock says "well you made your choice you got 500$". If I knew I will be getting 700$ for waiting X amount of days, well I would have taken that option and lol at the lack of communication between Lock and Apple, that makes Lock pay extra money.

So it's confirmed that we can get 700$ as an option? Or is it still being investigated?

It looks like it is just for "some cases" whatever that means.

I'm trying to contact Lock Poker marketing team over skype to get more details and try to resolve the issue for all players affected.

We are doing this on a case by case basis based on the waiting time. We understand the frustration for those of you that haven't received it yet and are doing our best to make it right.
