Has Lock lost access to funds due to the financial crisis in Cyprus?
No and we don't discuss specific payment processors by name on G911 as per industry set policy, which should also be the policy of this forum IMO, unless said processor is a scam.

Sites like SportsBookReview.com to their credit delete or star out processor names and any relationship to a particular online gambling site.

Having an office in Cyprus does not mean they bank there. Costa Rican companies hold most funds outside that country.

Skrill payouts were being reported today. Much work needs to be done to fix the current backlog but this is definitely a positive trend.

Well yeah. Obviously any time Lock pays anyone its a positive trend.

Chris, I'm curious about the source for this:

Angry players from the TwoPlusTwo.com posting forum have attacked Lock pros in recent days, even telling one that his baby should have been stillborn.
This is what Matt Stout said about it in his 2+2 post:

Quote:
People all over 2p2 are talking about how we, the pros, are scum for being associated with Lock and must have no no moral or ethical standards. That is far from the truth, to say the least. People I don't know have been attacking me on my own personal Facebook wall. People went after Melanie Weisner in her marketplace thread. Someone actually told another Lock Pro that his baby should have been a stillborn because he's still with the company, which is probably the worst thing I've ever heard a poker player say in all my years (and that says a lot). Questioning us via Twitter, messaging us on Facebook/email, or asking for answers on the forums is completely understandable, but the personal attacks on the pros are getting out of hand.
It's unclear from his post whether this comment was made on 2+2, Facebook, or somewhere else. But the article about Volpe & Moorman is very clear that it happened on 2+2, and one could even infer from the wording that it could have been more than one poster. If this was the case, we'd want to deal with it; I've searched the forums for anything involving a Lock pro and the word stillborn, but can find nothing before Matt's post. It could be that it has been deleted, in which case I guess my job is done. But if I missed it, I'd like to know. And if there's no evidence that it was posted on 2+2, but was merely inferred from Matt Stout's post that it was, then I think it would be responsible journalism for G911 to edit that article to reflect that.

Where are you getting this information? I haven't seen anybody post in threads about receiving a Skrill payout.

Some did get Skrill today and reported it in the RoW cash out thread.

There was nothing to suggest the dispicable comment in question Matt mentions came from the TwoPlusTwo community. I doubt it being that everyone here for the most part is so congenial.

1-i'm fairly certain that it came from a comment on twitter
2-do you think using a picture of a stillborn/baby is appropriate in the article headliner lol
3-do you have any journalistic integrity or sense of ethics or do you just report news based on how much lock pays you

Since you and lock are in bed together it is laughable that Jennifer does an interview with you with soft toss questions.

Ask her if she will let someone neutral like Dan Druff or Adam and Mike interview her

I'm glad to hear that. If you find out otherwise, please let me know.

In the meantime, does this mean there are plans to correct this article?

I can't believe such a short article even talks about some ridiculous anonymous insult from an idiot on twitter or facebook or whatever. How can the person that wrote that take themselves serious as a journalist?

Read comments on the Washington Post, or many other news sites. They call everyone and their mother all sorts of racist and homophobic names. Why on earth would anybody ever report on some anonymous idiot's insult to someone when there's so much actual content to talk about? Especially in such a short article.

Even Matt Stout using it was misguided in my mind. Trying to focus on what an anonymous loser that probably makes those hate filled comments all over the internet says is totally just trying to illicit sympathy. It's irrelevant to the community and should be irrelevant to anybody's day that reads that, even Matt Stout's. I'm not trying to say anyone wants to be called any names, but it's akin to being hit on in an AOL group chat... it's just silliness to be expected and it shouldn't be paid any mind.

Yes it has been corrected. Not sure why it referenced TwoPlusTwo posters as those who made the comment.

Please don't compare your site with any "industry standard" since your just sucking up to Lock and anything Jen wants you to say or publish.

The relation between Lock and JDB is a valid question same as both companies having offices in Cyprus and those being possibly affected by the financial crisis.

A number of ROW withdrawals was pushed through yesterday.

Wrong but great research from your part....

Is the "exclusive interview with Jen" out yet?

LOL THIS - Large Number of Skrill Payouts for Lock Poker Players Thursday: CEO Speaks

Quote:
Good news for Lock Poker players following quite a bit of anxiety in recent weeks as several customers outside the US have reported receipt of Skrill payouts, some of which were several thousand dollars, others of which were requested only within the past two weeks.
* 6 players posted since yesterday that they have received low to max skrill.

* The amounts received by individuals is irrelevant. It's the total number of daily withdraw requests processed that would count on segregated funds with improved payment processing times now that those "P2P funds" are freed up from the backlogs.

* Love the picture of the happy couple smiling at their CC

* I also like the questions you asked Jen during your "interview"... none?

Quote:
..“The Lock staff works constantly to find new, reputable payment processors as one way to improve the payment times,”...
Why find one if you own one (JDB)? Since JDB shouldn't have any problems processing ROW withdrawals and does the Skrill payments why are they so slow?

Overall great journalism again. Strike two in publishing digital junk in only two days!

Because that sells the story better? Seriously though you should be ashamed of your poor journalism and please don't ever claim to be unbiased with regards to Lock Poker.

Excellent, thanks.

Why do people even raise g911 to such a level as to question their "journalistic integrity"? That's an affiliate website that grabs more free attention every time someone rages about it's biased "news" and then links to the site. Costigan has been playing this same game for a long time now and apparently it is still paying off for him.

not all of us are invited to castles in Portugal and wined and dined for good reviews like you. Im always more congenial when red carpet is rolled out. How much are you getting in extras from Lock for your unbiased support?

ZERO. The 90 percent of people who read these forums and don't post here want someone who is close to Lock Poker ensuring they get paid, which they will since Lock is fully solvent. The people who played on Everleaf from the States only wish they were so lucky.

It wasn't a castle, it was a palace with a hotel attached and my room was next to Annette Obrestad.

We will have our interview with Lock CEO Jennifer Larson hopefully on Monday.

Don't try to speak for people that don't post without anything to back that up. Just about everyone here thinks that you're a joke, so its a pretty safe bet that non-posters aren't yearning for more Chris Costigan. I can poll it up for you if you'd like to put that to the test though.

And you know this how? If Lock is solvent, why do they resist an unbiased audit?

Zero huh? Guess free trips are zero. Please stop making statements you can not prove to be true either. You have ZERO idea of Locks solvency.
