Fooling with the time zones did nothing for me, but changing the date back to 8/1 worked like a charm. I'm on PLO as we speak.

Probably the funniest glitch of all time in online poker. Change the time on your computer and it works? lol I'm in CST and set it back 3 hours and I'm on
08-02-2012 , 09:55 PM
Now they just need to fix the website to that people can re download.
08-02-2012 , 09:57 PM

I'm just glad we could figure this out and happy that Lock didn't consider us all as fraudsters. Can you imagine what a cluster**** that would have been to fix?
08-02-2012 , 09:57 PM
what's really LOL is that this crack-dev team still can't figure out how to fix it...

Yea I know right lol. I'm sure they have something in their TOS that prohibits the change of timezones, we all screwed now. Cake use to be such a stable network, now that lock is here, seems like something happens once a week or more.

What's the over/under on how long it will take Lock to figure this out?
08-02-2012 , 10:07 PM
Now the vig people have to pay to swap Lock money is going to be even higher thanks to the monkeys that run this site.

Such a joke, still can't redownload.
08-02-2012 , 10:18 PM
i didn't touch the clock just log in again and it's work. Nothing to do with your time in your computer. still can'r reg to tour.
08-02-2012 , 10:21 PM
Why would this site not do everything they possibly could to keep players happy. Do they not see the opportunity here. They have very limited competition and just keep screwing up.

They have it where they send cookie cutter emails when you ask why absolutely nothing has happened with your w/d since July 19th. They managed to send me an email saying "watch for an email at the beginning of the week for your WU details." Well tommorows Friday and you email them and they send you the same cookie cutter email.

Wake up and get it together.

Sites go down. Tech glitches happen. They are here keeping us informed which is a pretty big deal for them.

Looks like the outage was about 2 hours and they fixed it. So relax already.

To an extent, I think you are correct. A minor tech glitch that was solved in a reasonable time frame. However, because of past performance Lock needs to understand that they operate in the glare of the spotlight. Minor problems are magnified into major issues. The trolls come out from under the rocks and cry, "DOJ, DOJ". Lock performed reasonably well in this instance. Support is getting better and Shane and Rizen are keeping themselves available. It's an improvement - keep it up, Lock.

Sure they're in the spotlight. And when this issue happened Lock performed quite well. So spotlight = ON. And their performance = Very good.

Jumping in with the DOJ jokes, especially that fast, is just stupid and trolly. The "OMG wtf is the matter with you. Your site sucks!" is ludicrous when it's an outage that is really not that long at all. Even moreso when it is directed to Shane and Rizen who are actually here doing what they are supposed to do (which is not always the case). Do you want them NOT giving you updates?

If it had been 10 hours with zero response or information given on here AND no reimbursements for players given in tourneys (issues with delays on that have happened before) then an annoyed reaction is appropriate.

But of all the things to get on Shane and Rizen and Lock's case about: this situation was not one of them imo...and least not to that crazy an extent.

Sites do actually go down. Even happens to Stars (I remember the threads back in the days when we actually could play there).

And a big key is how well is it dealt with when it actually does happen. I feel Lock pretty much got an A on this one....especially if they gave the reimbursements super-fast. Since nobody is complaining anymore, I will assume that they have.

Not really sure what people are thinking posting DOJ/FBI stuff when it was just a glitch. Just stupid. All poker sites run from servers are going to have these from time to time. For those of you that can't handle it I have a solution...leave online poker and go play live. No glitches and no shutdown scares.

Get stuff like this instead

I remember watching this event live online while it happened, armed robbery.

Bob is right, remember the first time this happened there was no acknowledgement or statement for about a week. Today's response is a 180 from that.
