Debit card stolen by processor?

Just received a notification from my bank that there was a .64 charge and 396.40$ charge from walmart.com ... I have only used this card for lock deposits and at my companies cafeteria where I'm positive it was not compromised . I sent out a text MSG to friends who also play on lock and received a reply that the same thing just happened to him. Pretty positive this is one of locks many processors.

Re: Debit card stolen by processor?

Dude a similar thing happened to me only it was for $3885 and it was multiple lock deposits but not for my screen name. At first i thought it was a different merge site but Lock is the only one that uses that type of processor. My main concern is given the fact that I have completed a CC verification form, I am worried that I may lose if I charge them back. Doesn't that CC verification form protect them from chargebacks? What sucks is they truly were unauthorized but if I do a chargeback then I will be blackballed forever. Given the large $ amount I have no choice but to chargeback since the last time I made an authorized deposit on my card was like 8 months ago and have been playing since then. Anyways does anyone know how much weight that CC verification form holds??

same thing happened to me.. it was a Wal-mart in Florida.. after depositing on LOCK and directly using lock deposit with my cc which went through with no problem.. Then they hit Wal-Mart for 2 $99 charges which were refunded by my bank because i live almost 2k miles away.

Very frustrating to deal with, and will never do business with Lock again...

had to cancel all my cards, etc.

Had that happen on Carbon, luckily my bank caught it. Tried to take out $5,000. I have since switched to only pre-paid debits. That account was opened ONLY for poker and ONLY used on Merge. Not even one other transaction ever. Fishy Fishy, FU DOJ. Shutting down Stars was SUCH a good idea and did SO much to stop online poker

it wasn't about stopping poker, it was about clearing the way so their buddies can reap huge profits.. no other reason other than that..

Exactly, which is the entire reason our country is so F'd up right now. I love being an American, but it is sad that things have got this bad in every aspect of our lives.

I would also like to add that I have used two cards on lock but have only sent in the paper verification on the one that was stolen. I'm not sure if this is where it was used/stolen from or from some database that lock uses. As stated above fu doj we could have PCI compliant legit companies being taxed and regulated...

And I don't anticipate one but I thought I would post this info to make ppl aware to keep an eye on their statements incase it happens to them. It's unfortunate (and maybe degen) that we have to resort to these type of conditions to play in.

Yeah, I'd be very leery of using my CC or Debit cards on any US facing sites. Use WU or a reloadable card when possible.

This is scary... I understand verifying and all but. It seems a little Leary sending copies of credit card info, debit card info, drivers license and such to complete strangers. Would be nice to no our personal info is protected and secure by lock and all processors. Still kinda odd no representive has address such a huge concern yet to assure our info is protected.

Re: Debit card stolen by processor?

Yesterday before I verified my account on Merge I made sure I stopped at the credit union and had them cancel/close the debit card I used to deposit a while back. That way if they wanna pull any bs the card they got copies of is no longer valid. Just gotta wait a few days for a new card to arrive.
