Cheating in the 6 Max Double or Nothings
Instead of emailing support and not getting a response, I figure making a thread that can be visited by Lock Reps would be ideal.
I am one of the players that helped bust the Chinese cheating ring on Stars, and have consistently achieved been at the higher end ROI wise in DONs on whatever site I am playing on. I.E. I am probably better than your avg bear at detecting unusual play/cheating.
With that being said I would like to post a few things about certain players.
"ApakoHgod" - I've noticed over the past few days/weeks that this player has been targeting me for some unknown reason. What I mean by this is he will go out of his way to get it all in vs me when it is obviously -EV for both of us.
I'll give a quick example of what im talking about. Lets say stacks are Him (2.5k) Me (2.3K) CL (3.8K) Shorty (400) blinds 100-200. It folds to me in the SB, He shouldn't have a calling range here. I should be able to shove ATC in this spot and get called 0% of the time. He is calling a ton of hands in spots like this.
Some of you unfamiliar to DONs might wonder how this could be cheating. If ApakoHgod's 2nd acct is the shorty here, it makes sense to be calling me with anything somewhat respectable here, as if he wins, both his accounts cash...if he loses, his shorty cashes. He is essentially freerolling in this spot. His only consideration is how tight to make his calling range so that he doesn't make it too obvious.
"Yycan88" - I don't see him around too often, but both spots I saw him playing usual today were in spots that would benefit him/ApakoHgod if they were working together. ApakoHgod became disconnected and was blinding out for the last 10 mins. I was shoving all in every hand because it was another spot where the other 2 players shouldnt have calling ranges, with the shorty sitting out. Yycan88 found a call, doubled, then instead of shoving every hand because me and the other player don't have calling ranges, he's limp in/try to min raise on my blind, doing anything he could to try to get me to enter a pot (i had like ~150 more chips than ApakoHgod at this point, and he was directly to my left, so there was noway he could actually chip dump with this setup.
The most obvious cheating involving Yycan88 though was on another table, again with a sitting out ApakoHgod. This time ApakoHgod was to Yycan88's left. I had ~400 more chips than him, so I was folding 100% of hands as I had the cash in the bag. Then, as a cheater who put some thought into it would do, Yycan88 decides to give ApakoHgod a walk when he was down to like 200 chips. He did it again next orbit after shoving on him from the time he had ~1,700 chips on down. He chose to wait until he was that short to shove because he knew id be blinding down the same as him, and if he walks him when he's almost gone my stack will be too short to be able to get it in with fold equity, and ill bubble a high % of the time. That is indeed what happened.
He absolutely chose to make sure that I bubbled and him and ApakoHgod cashed. This was tournament # 11667616
Lastly in tournament # 11667073 there was a spot where player "azmancanavar" had a choke hold on the match on the bubble. I was in 2nd place with probaly 60% more chips than the two extreme shortys. (CoolSt0ryBro) and (husocan)
To make a long story short I end up going from somewhat secure, to shorty because hes walking them/they are walking eachother everytime. I have to get it in and the big stack snaps me with something marginal, I double. Same thing happens...walks all around, just evening out stacks until I am again the shorty. I have to shove again and he snaps me with like Q6 or something? It's just 100000000% not a play he's been making against the other two, as he's walked them/let them take his blinds. Neither of the 3 were ever all in, it was just so gross and such blatent collision.
I really wish I would have started paying more attention to this stuff sooner, as a lot of these spots have been happening lately, but today enough was enough.
Please post here if you guys find any collision going on in these, hopefully we can clean them up.
BTW, I am "StylinOnYou" on Lock.

Re: Cheating in the 6 Max Double or Nothings
I tried to play the 6man dons...played 600 of them with a -4% roi at 15s 35s and 60s. So much collusion... I'm AustinS89...we've played some together. I'm going back to 10 mans I'm not going to be able to beat the 6 mans the way they are.

Yah we've played a decent bit. I never noticed anything you've done wrong, so you should definitely at least be beating the games.
****s getting ridiculous.

Re: Cheating in the 6 Max Double or Nothings
What buy-in's are we talking here?
I used to crush 6max consistent for over a year on partypoker and wondered what I had done to my game to have such a hard time to get on top of them on Lock. Your post makes perfect sense since I've encountered similar situations but I played so many SnG's on party that it was kinda given that regulars would crush a short stack 3 handed and worry about coming 1st once you've cashed that I didn't snap to this on Lock and just went back to play NLH cash games rather than SnG's.
However my prefered game is SnG and I want clean games on Lock...my cash variance is just to high.. lol.

Good eye man...them 33's hard enough with you in em'...save your stuff and send it into security..maybe they'll see something, not nessesarily in your stuff, but overall somewhere..ya know?..I guess if they dont really understand DON's, they might not see it, or buy it with the small sample...but, if you get a audit started, maybe they'll sniff out someting else..

Ya, I'm JustMuckGuy1, I've played with both of you lots, this month at least, I've seen some hilarious spots that make zero sense and most likely is some type of collusion...
BTW, Greear it's Abed, Fresh's boy, you may know me, maybe...

And hence we have the reason why DON's have been nuked by certain sites. Just to rampant and difficult to keep up with the cheaters. I have to think this is especially difficult and more prevalent at the 6-man's.

Definitely more cheating going on in 6Max DONs than 10 handed.
That being said, it isn't THAT difficult to spot cheating, especially on accounts that play regularly.
IMO if support hired a DON reg to help spot collision I bet the games would get cleaned up in a heart beat.

They can pay me to do that....just let me see everyone's whole cards for the finished tourneys and I'll go through and identify the collusion. I can use a rating system to categorize the different hands for certainty of collusion etc... You can forward this to Lock if you want! Lol if only

Re: Cheating in the 6 Max Double or Nothings
Just wanted to make sure I posted the link to this thread with the HH's of some collusion I've encountered. Ignore the replies most of its arguing if it's collusion and I know you'll see it for what it is.

Re: Cheating in the 6 Max Double or Nothings
Thanks for the heads up Stylin. I thought I was noticing something fishy whenever these two guys played on my tables.
I'm a reg there and you and I have played a ton of games. I know you're a reputable person and tend to believe your side at this point.
