Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
<cough> check the PTR on some of the current Ronin leaders <cough>
<cough> PTR even has a bot index <cough>
<cough> I've never ever seen a PTR PLO bot index above 70 before today (heck I'd never seen one above 45) <cough>

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
Are you seriously suggesting that the top guys on the leader board are PLO bots?

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
Nope, read post #134 I'm asking what is Lock doing.
On the front page of Lock's forum are several "coluder/cheating" threads. Furthermore, as Mccormick just posted, the Lock promos are good enough to attract the wrong element along with fair player just looking for a good place to play ev wise.
Oh yeah, I just finished reading the "sng cullion tourn #" thread in which Microbob stated it is up to the players to be watchdogs.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I'm just a watchdogin' and asking questions.
BUT, I must say that after a quick PTR search, what I found was enough for me to ask the question from post #134.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
Okay, just for curiosities sake what PLO player did you PTR and even have a notion that they were a bot?
Considering you wrote this, you seem pretty convinced:
<cough> check the PTR on some of the current Ronin leaders <cough>
<cough> PTR even has a bot index <cough>
<cough> I've never ever seen a PTR PLO bot index above 70 before today (heck I'd never seen one above 45) <cough>

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
I would not trust ptr's bot index to be terribly meaningful.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
Wicane, I seemed pretty convinced? Pretty convinced of what?
Lets take a step back for a second. If you want to question my methods, I can live with that. In the history of 2+2 there have been plenty of posts that started something like, "do you think this person is a bot?" I could have done that but didn't. Post #134 was reasonable question, post #136 was me coughing up some stuff I saw.
PTR is free to register, I'm not going to post someone ID on here without anyone else saying hmmm I looked up a few people and I back you up that one of top Ronin leaders looks a bit weird stat wise. As I write this there are 8 players at Level 11, check those players to see if any seem strange, my Post #134 seems legite in asking if Lock has any protocols to see if high finishing Ronin Leaderboards are people and not bots.
edit...as Microbob just pointed out the bot index doesn't prove much. You could play perfect GTO and have a high number. Which is a reason I didn't post a name, but instead just asked...POST #134 (for the bazzilionth time) wonder if Lock is using the Leaderboard as a protocol to make sure nothing is going on cheating wise.
edit #2 ummm a lot of sports today like the Olympics drug test the people that win. I was simply asking if Lock has a high Ronin finish test in place.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
I'm sure Lock has bot detection software. If someone could effectively program a bot(and make it hard to detect) to beat or BE .5/1+ I'd be absolutely shocked.

You're obviously calling out JustFold22, which is me. I am not a bot, nor do I think plo bots even exist.
Check out my pg&c thread to follow me this month, if you want. I know, I'm plugging my thread here, but oh well.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
I for one hate the limited rewards method Lock is using and just want to make sure those limited rewards are being passed out to legit players. That is all.
But, and this is very important, anyone on pace to make $100,000+ a year has my respect. I don't care if it comes from straight up win rate, win rate + rake back (we all know rake is too high) or what ever. Kudos.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
"limited rewards" for a rake-race seriously shouldn't be a big deal. The top-end players in this rewards structure will make well over 100% rakeback at really high volume.
so if you are disappointed in this then be prepared to be more disappointed in the future because it is unlikely it will stay this good forever.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
That is not the point.
Also the over 100% actually had several players wondering if Lock was "giving away the house" kinda a "if it is too good to be true" or a la FTP wondering if this 100% stuff was being done with player's money that should be segregated.
Don't read into anything I posted. If that is a problem I'll reference Post #134 for the 16th million time today, because that was my original question that of course wasn't answered by a Lock rep. Everything since has been tangents to that original question.

Re: AUGUST PROMOTIONS
Okay, then I don't understand what the point is. You said you hate the limited rewards. I said that I believe they are completely understandable and explained why.
