I have personally not experienced any problems w/Lock other than the painfully slow withdrawal times.

Software bit on the ****ty side too.

I am happy with Lock Poker.

Tables freeze up all the time for me which understandably is annoying. I think the software is somewhat outdated but beggars can't be choosers. Overall though I enjoy it.

Other than the current slow WU withdrawal from Oct, I have no big complaints. My other withdrawals were fine. Wish they would add Stud and Stud8.

This. I am still perplexed on why they have the tabs but have no Stud/Stud8 games ever running.

WOW nice to hear some nice comments for a change.

The worst part about it is that if you play a lot of tournament tables at once, the feature that makes you have to click to sit in at the start is extremely annoying as well as no auto addon. No doubt I've lost $1000+ in EV because of these software fails, but if you don't play a lot of tables it should be fine.

Promos are decent and cashout times for WU seem to be the best

Sure. I'm happy to be able to play poker. Lock may have problems from time to time, but they are still the best US-facing site.

Lock has made a number of improvements over the past couple months and are not nearly as bad AA they were before. Fulfilling their own advertised promos was a great start. Other things are getting better too. Very optimistic and happy they are making such strides.

guess this is how id sum up my lock experience as well.

I concur. I don't have any issues with their software other than the rare random connection issues (although honestly my ISP sucks too...lol). Customer support has been top notch in any issue I've had. Cashout times as stated are the only issue, but I use P2P trading primarily and don't mind paying a little more to get cash in hand promptly. Of course, speedier WU, for instance, would make P2P a lot less necessary.

merge making lock look like pokerstars as of late anyhoo.

Its nice to read this, we are always trying to aim up to the standard we want to set and it certainly hasn't been as smooth going since the move to Revolution but its nice as things come together players appreciate it.

I too find all the Lock-bashing sort of funny. As a US player, first of all, what other option do you have? My only wish is that there were more players and more players for the higher stakes tourneys ($100+). The ONLY complaint I have is the cashouts. I always get the $$, but damn it takes so freaking long. I've got $14,000 sitting on the site and I can only get it off in fits and starts. It's frustrating. But overall, I think the site is fine. And I get fast responses from customer service, software runs fine, etc. So yes--overall I'm happy with it!

My two main issues are the very slow cashouts (which give me very little confidence in having money on the site) and the high proportion of regulars. I won't mind the latter if the cashouts were faster. 6-8 weeks is beyond frustrating.

Software is fine for the most part.

This said it all.

Happy with Lock, extremely great Rakeback, customer support is fine, software works / is good enough for me.. I can play, don't -really- want much more than that, but it could definately be improved a lot.

Withdrawal times suck balls obviously.

I suppose I wouldn't have many complaints if the cashout times were better. Something I hope LOCK is continuing to work on.

Seriously, improve cashout times and watch the masses come
11-30-2012 , 11:36 PM
Yeah I agree that cash outs are slow. The one thing that they have done with the cash outs to make them much better is getting them approved in less then a week (referring to WU not checks). That helps regulars so much once they get them piled up, knowing that your have a WU coming each week is really nice. I hope that stays the same and hope they can speed up the cash outs, but if not its not that big of a deal to me as long as i can request a cash out once a week.
Also for those that are having trouble with the software I would suggest if you can, investing in a new computer. I upgraded my computer a while back and it makes a huge difference. I understand that the common person can't but if you are a reg and play for a living i think its well worth it. (and its a write off ):

I've been using lock for about about a month now and I haven't had nearly as many software issues as I did with merge. I will say the SNG scene on Lock is pretty lackluster, but other than that I haven't had any problems.

I have enjoyed my playing time on lock so far. One withdraw issue but that is all.
12-01-2012 , 02:25 AM
definetly happy, #rungoodhelps

I heart lock
12-01-2012 , 06:20 AM
I'm playing on Lock when i could be playing on Stars, hope that says enough

(admittedly, because i win on Lock due to RB / softer field)

Stars software is better though ofcourse.

I'm thinking about putting some on but like everyone I've heard varying things about customer support over time. How long is it taking to get a new account verified these days?
