A promo nets me a free ticket to a tournament that I ship for 15K

Yes Please!

Latest cashout took about 3-4 weeks so things are looking up.

Did the site just give you the 15k in your account or a package to a live tournament? And if you got a package do you have an option to just take cash and is it the full 15k or do you have to sell the seat on your own? The reason I ask is because another site that i played on I won a package and the bought it back from me but only gave me the cash the seat and the plan ticket but refused to give me the money for the hotel stay. In a free roll i can understand them maybe not giving the full value but this was a buy in tournament so they just pocketed the $800.

was it a Aussie millions package ?

Yes it was the Aussie millions package and they gave me the full 15k

Apart from getting into the wrong batch of WU withdrawals , Lock is pretty solid.

Strictly speaking as an mtt player, Lock re-buys are pretty great.

Now if they could spruce up the daily guarantees a bit.

But no complaints, really.

Definitely just a consequence of the 2012-2013 era of poker, as I'm sure you already know.

One thing I haven't seen posted anywhere is that their Vault uses a randomizer for additional security; the keys aren't in the same location each time. This prevents (my limited understanding of it) keylogger issues with scammers. Despite Lock's shortcomings, this is definitely a great feature that I suspect you won't find on other U.S.-facing sites (If I am wrong, would love to know from others).

Granted it appears they implemented this after sa1251 was hacked, but that's also just how the world works imo. You see enough deadly accidents at an otherwise calm-looking street intersection and you'll surely see a stoplight and other safety controls used after the fact.

I like it, just the slow cash out times from time to time are annoying. The other thing is that the rakeback / prize structure is a little too generous which worries me. I don't feel comfortable carrying a high balance on there.

Im looking to get back into online poker. Do you guys suggest this site over the others? Im a PLO player mainly.

How would lock be for someone starting out at 1/2 nl?

I saw someone mention they had trouble with mac monitors. Can anyone comment on their software on a MacBook Pro? Can you use a HUD/tracker with a pc/mac?

You mean your computer is a mac? If you have mac monitors and are running windows the software should run fine.

Up to the point of taking away WU, I have been very pleased with Lock. Cashed out 5 WUs in last 5 months, each arriving within 3-4 weeks, the latest being the 4 weeks. Requested it 10-25 and arrived 11-23. Finding a way to move the roll to ACR though if the WU option doesn't come back. No way in hell I'm paying .30 vig just to cash out.

I think if you do both sites, you can have the best of both worlds. Use P2P transfers to move Lock funds to ACR(should be able to do so at less vig) and cash out using their prepaid card or WU. Then you can take advantage of all the bonus'/cashback/rakechase of Lock and also have the benefits of the quicker cashouts with ACR. And you will obv have a better table selection option playing across both sites.

Just my $0.02
