Laptop keyboard screwing up

Hey guys,
My HP Pavillion DV6 is messing up. It seems to have different keys assigned
E.g the .right arrow key produces a random string of letters. The letter L acts as the down key and things like the "O" sometimes doesn't work or randomly appears. Help please

Plug a USB keyboard in and report back whether the problem persists.
EDIT: Check no keys are stuck down or sticking when pressed.

Ive had similar issues several times, ive replaced the keyboards on all and it solved the issue. id did on on a DV6. Keyboards have been about 15-18 bucks on amazon. Hp i had to do a bit of dis-assembly ( there are guides all over the place). An acer i just did was SUPER simple, it just snap out , replug new cable, snap back in.
Use some canned air to clean out the keyboard, or it could be just the cable is jarred and needs to be reset.
