Hi,

Since Monday I've had a bizarre problem with my poker laptop.

It says I'm connected to my wireless network but says "no Internet access"

When I try via my 3G USB stick backup it says "no network access"

When I try via Ethernet cable it doesn't work either.

My phone, tablet and other laptops are all still working.

I've tried heaps of basic turn on and off. My friend talked me through a few cmd ipconfig and similar stuff. Nothing's changed it.

It lists all of the usual networks near my house.

I am wondering what I've done? I'm thinking I might have knocked out my ability to connect somehow maybe via some seriously unlucky key combo press or switch hit (I can't see anything tho)? My laptop is a toshiba satellite l750.

Friend said maybe buy new wireless network card but shouldn't my 3G backup work irrespective of that?

Anyone who helps me fix this through their specific reply - 20 dollars on stars should they wish.

I'm hijacking this thread because I have the same problem. I've got a wireless internet network with like 20 devices connected to it no problem. One of them was working fine but lost internet connectivity today. Still connects to the network but it says "No internet access" under the Wireless Network Status page IPv4 connectivity. ipconfig settings for the wireless adapter:

DHCP Enabled: Yes
Autoconfiguration enabled: Yes
IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.116 (Preferred)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.1.1

Looking in the router settings from a good computer it also confirms that the bad computer is connected on IP address 192.168.1.116, but the bad computer can't ping the router or log into it.

Tried connecting by ethernet cable and got IP address 192.168.1.120 but otherwise the same issues. Turned the firewall on the computer completely off and nothing changed. wtf?

Weird thing happened to me today.

It just started working 6 days later.

This could be a firewall issue. If you have norton especially.

I and alot of people had this exact problem over the last week due to a mcafee update.

Just google mcafee no internet problem over the last week, mcafee released a download fix, sorry i forgot the name, on my phone now.
