I want to learn Java from scratch and their Java Essential course seems nice. Problem is it cost 30$/m

Anyone here have tried it before? Any review about this platform are welcome. Alternative to learn Java are also welcome.

Tried codecademy's Java starter yet? Likely not as in depth, but a good start.

For all things (slightly outdated) in Java, pick up Head First Java in whatever form suits you. GUI stuff is old, but covers the fundamentals quite well.

If you subscribe to Linkedin premium you can get a Lynda membership for free. They have a 30-day free trial, so that's more than enough time to complete the course you are interested in at least.

When I had a month of lyndia access, I found it easy to use youtube-download.pl to download all the courses I wanted for later viewing.

I've edited the thread in several places. It is against the site rules to post about such things as account sharing to get content for cheaper (this site is run by a content publishing company, duh!)
