Hey guys I am looking to buy a cheap 2560x1440 monitor off ebay and wondering if it will be compatible with my Macbook Pro. I have used a 24" 1900x1200 monitor via the thunderbolt to HDMI but since this one is higher res it requires DVI-D. I did some googling and couldn't figure out for sure if it would work with my laptop.

I bought the MBPro a couple months ago from the apple outlet refurbished... I think it's one of the newer models.

Here is the monitor I am considering buying --

I Want to be able to hook it up to my monitor and have a 2560x1440 display alongside my 1900x1200 laptop for multitabling online and just don't want to buy something that won't be compatible.

edit --- just found out the video card in my laptop is an AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB

your card can handle the resolution, but i doubt the dvi-d dual link display is going to work with your macbook.
