Not sure where to post this, so I thought I would try here.

I have created a free Bovada hand history replayer and tracking application. It is a .net application and to make the installation easy, I created a self extracting .exe file.

My problem is Chrome by default is saying that the file is malicious and is blocking it. Is this the default behavior for any .exe file or is there something I can do to get Chrome to accept the file.

I tried contacting google, but google says the program does not contain malware so I cannot even request a review of the file.

Can anyone help. The website is www.onlinepokermanager.com

Not sure how this is functioning but from reading the post, you start chrome then activate something on the web page to cause the self extraction. Off the top of my head, try running chrome as an administrator. Right click on the icon and select run as administrator.

This is a common case for all new .exe files in Chrome.

Unfortunately your application doesn't have a "good reputation" which means it is was not downloaded by thousands of users...

The only way to prevent it is to sign it with a valid certificate. This certificate costs about $200-$300/year (!!!). Really a huge sum for a small developer but that's how "software mafia" works.
