Why did they not colonized Germany after WW2? Why did they not colonized Germany after WW2?

After the germans got destroyed by the almighty USSR from the right. And of course the rest of the world did a good job. I'm not being Pro-ussr here i just respect their deeds, and effort & mindset during WW2. So yeah in 1945 the germans lost. Thanks god they did they are so obsessed with race. ****tards...But my question here is why did the allied countries not decide to colonize the part they won. USA had a huge part of south germany, they could have made their own state in europe!

Don't get me wrong, but if i was the president of usa, or any other allied that got a piece of germany. i would have never give it up. You know why? Millions of innocent people have died. EVEN after the war there were a lot of germans who still has the "National-socialist" ideology. They all moved to south africa because they liked the "apartheid". But i did some research and the only reason why they did not colonize it, was because they had no more money. If they did...Germans and their ideology would have become nothing but history.

Your research is wrong. There was no way the Western allies were going to colonise Germany. Millions died, for the 2nd time that century, in a great European war. Securing a lasting peace for the future was vitally important for the war weary nations.

I was gonna say... one look at East vs West Germany and the concentration of troops/aircraft in those countries should tell you a lot of what you need to know.

Occupation is different than colonization. And it shouldn't be cast as anything other than immensely beneficial to West Germany and Japan.

Do you mean like when they - as allies of Hitler - invaded Poland and started masskilling Jewish and Polish people?

You are correct that occupation and colonization are different things. One can have either without the other. Being a colony does not have to be unbeneficial.

Colonization is an economic relationship. The way to determine the extent of colonization is to look at trade patterns. In the case of Japan, which you raised, there is a good argument that the pattern of Japans' trade 1945-1970 compared to 1905-1930 showed it to to have become a de-facto American colony. There is a similar argument along the same lines WRT West Germany's and East Germany's trade patterns 1945-1970, with West Germany being a joint US/British/French colony and East Germany being a Soviet colony.

After the Spanish American War the US never had the stomach for keeping countries they conquered in wars. Don't know the reason. Although we did keep some South Pacific Islands under our control. But I think that was simply to keep a closer eye on Japan.

The original plan was to totally reduce Germany to an non industrial country. Soviet Union kept that from happening.

The victors in WWI oppresses the heck out of Germany and saddled them with debt and impotence. Discontent brews. Hitler moves in. WWII.

Perhaps the Allies didn't want to piss on the German populace once again. When you piss on the people, the people look to Hitler to get the pissers to stop.

Common knowledge of what the plan for post WW2 Germany was. Allies were planning on never allowing it the chance to rearm.

Look up the Morgenthau Plan

The Morgenthau plan was never adopted. A watered down version influenced the actual American plan, but it applied only to the American Zone of Occupation, not the British or French Zones.
