hi,

on wed. my history class is doing a mock trial where half the class is prosecuting William the Conqueror for usurping Harold Godwinson while the other half is defending him (i am on prosecution side fwiw).

obv there is tons of info on the net but we are only allowed to use ".edu" websites, and they have to be approved by our prof. i am a google fish and don't know if there is a way to limit searches to edu sites, and thought maybe someone here would know of some useful sources.

p.s. particularly looking for anything that backs up the following wikipedia quote WRT Right of Conquest (any other sources are still appreciated) :

"Further, the right was traditionally accepted because the conquering force, being by definition stronger than any lawfully entitled governance which it may have replaced, was therefore more likely to secure peace and stability for the people, and so the Right of Conquest legitimises the conqueror towards that end."

thanks!
