however, for people who are used to being high all the time it can be performance-enhancing

back in the day I used to play a lot of Gran Turismo competing with people on the internet for lowest laptimes and I ALWAYS did better high. Granted this is a lot different from poker but for playing a bunch of tables I could see a possible correlation

I cant decide whether it helps or hurts, seems it could be slightly one or the other. I feel at times it helps, and at other times it can hurt my game. I do love it for hand history review etc, hate it for bluff catching though.

i can see a vape helping you, but a gravity bong might hurt your game. but for tournaments pot is pretty much steroids

can't tell you how many times i've been in a massive pot, with the timebank beeping away trying to make a decision only to trail off thinking about how high I actually am. i'm sure it helps massive multitablers, but not quite sure it helps me.

on a side note, i used to know guys in college who would get chonged before extremely tough final exams, and I never quite understood it. wish I could be them.

As someone with attention deficit Im almost always looking for ways to satisfy my insatiable desire for stimulation. With that said i love smoking. Ive never played my regular stakes high, but i have put in some one table sessions at lower stakes blazed and i do agree that it can enhance my decision making. However, I feel as though this enhancement lacks consistency. For example, i feel, as stated before, that u can get a certain soul reading ability while high such as making a sick 3 or 4 bet river push, but in my experience this 'feeling' is just an altered state of perception that can easily be wrong if always applied. Its just a fact that weed alters your memory, especially short term, and your perception. A huge factor of being +ev in any situation is having a consistent perception of your surroundings. IMO, most pros use weed as a means to control anxiety while in or out of a session. If there is anyone who considers weed as +ev to their game they have probably been smoking consistently for years and have gotten to the point where they are very familiar with decision making high. Bottom line, if your a recreation smoker who isn't completely familiar with your thought processes while high your most likely sacrificing some ev.

some of the best poker ive played in my life is after coming home from the bar(not totally trashed but a happy median in between hammered and tipsy) and smoking a bowl. This combo when used occasionally works wonders for me
