Re: warning to high stakes travelers!!

This is my first year playing the main event. I plan on taking like 20K in cash through the airports. Am i going to have any problems with this? I am departing from Rapid City SD, so i dont see much problem here but maybe? What about when i arrive in Vegas? Should i try an hide the money through security, or tell them the situation. I have never flown with this much cash before, any help is appreciated.

if anything has been learned from this thread it's that you should absolutely hide the monies and hope for the best.

That guy is Randy Jensen? That would make sense since i have him pegged as an absolute **** idiot from the couple of times i seen him on tv. His post was about as idiotic as it gets.

Re: warning to high stakes travelers!!

not sure if it applies anymore, but most gamblers used to have a federal gambling stamp which helps in situations like this.
same thing happened to a friend in memphis, took 2 years to get his money back.

Re: warning to high stakes travelers!!

My close friends got pulled over driving through Midwest Kansas or something and got searched by the Highway patrol. They found 140k cash and took it even though no drugs or paraphenalia was present. They turned cash over to DEA who wanted proof of where the cash came from and such.

Of couse my friends couldn't provide proof as he was really a drug dealer. DEA kept all the money, but I believe the whole process took ~year.

Cliff notes: being it's the DEA and not local police as long as you can show where the cash came from you should be getting it all returned, just might take a little while.

Because if he was selling drugs then the watch was surely bought with drug profits which in turn means they can confiscate watch.

DEA sickens me. They probably get the same kick out of their job that undercover policewoman prostitutes do...
