ULTIMATE BET Silent About Insider Cheating Allegations; Millions Suspected Stolen ULTIMATE BET Silent About Insider Cheating Allegations; Millions Suspected Stolen

Me JMX and stealthcow just spent several hours straight looking into possible cheating accounts and let me say 1 thing, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence we've uncovered. However ill refrain from making the same mistake me and gaucho originally made (posting before we had all the info neatly organized and put together). More to come on development within the next few days

I sure do wish the poker sites were taking care of their own game security. As useful as it may be if this thread ends up outting a cheater, it can also be read as a step by step guide of how to cheat more intelligently and avoid getting caught.

One question before you put all the evidence out there, is what you have found confined to accounts on UB or are other sites implicated?

Ya Annie, ppl having access to other players' hole cards in live games happens all the time.

did the original thread get deleted? if not, can someone link me to it.

Just have to say well done to Trambo, Gaucho and others who have worked hard on this matter. I am almost 100% convinced that NioNio was cheating due to the hand histories but also the simple fact that someone who is playing 65/40 or whatever is bound to have some super sick variance which isn't the case since he won every single session he played, correct? As well the player named Utakeit2 who briefly played high stakes on UB at about the same time is quite possibly a cheater as well. Utakeit2 who i have 300 datamined hands on was playing 57/36 and won 45k playing mostly 25/50 and 60 hands of 50/100. The player named FlatBroke is also rediculously suspicious who played around the same time with the same VPIP/PFR stats as the other two and has a few very strange hands against Trambo and others that I have datamined. I know this isn't new information but I thought I'd throw it out there. Keep up the good work gents.

Oh and BTW this is HOVADOGG84 from UB

Yeah, but step 1 is "see opponent's hole cards", and that's pretty uncommon (I would hope).

Wow.

Excellent work Tram and Gaucho, keep the updates coming.

wow...

ub should be jumping through hoops to reimburse players that were stolen from.

excellent work again gaucho and trambo. i wish the original thread had not been deleted as there were some harsh and foolish statements made, and i think some people owe you two an apology and thanks.

it will be interesting to see how this develops and is handled by ub, and i am curious as to the full scope of the cheating, and how much money was stolen from the players.

Do I take Phil's email to mean that UB, which prob rakes in the ballpark of $1m/day, is intentionally choosing NOT to refund $600,000?

I have always stayed out of these threads, but as someone with 5 figures on UB, that strikes me as absolutely absurd.

I totally agree ez, why should it matter to us players if this guy cashed out all of his winnings or not?? Not only did they try to hide this from us, but now that we do uncover this whole scandal they're trying to say 'too bad, he already cashed out??' Thats complete bull****, pay out of your own pockets UB, its 100% your fault anyway
01-13-2008 , 08:12 PM
wow
01-13-2008 , 08:13 PM
ez,

it is very likely the amount stolen greatly exceeds that number. it would be shocking if ub didn't pay back the players with interest in the same manner as AP.

omg wow sob

Seems like complete suicide to not even attempt to refund any money here...

By the way, I can think of another reason, and that's if it was a complete insider job, and current members of UB team were/are siphoning off money
01-13-2008 , 08:34 PM
the PR nightmare and the ensuing work of having to handle the investigation were probably more of an issue than having to pay out players. im sure if UB could have paid 1M or whatever out of pocket and guarantee to have this never come out they would have.

obv would be so much nicer if online poker were ran from the us and properly regulated. no one is accountable
01-13-2008 , 08:36 PM
wow. just wow.

for everyone that was cheated, i hope it works out for you and you are reimbursed in full.
01-13-2008 , 08:38 PM
Maybe I am overreacting, but this seems like a major blow to the future of online poker, at any site...

You think it was bad before when people ran bad and complained about "rigged sites"...wow, we haven't seen anything yet.
01-13-2008 , 08:41 PM
so what if anything is going to happen to ub? should players be cashing out funds?

Well if the Absolute scandal didn't deter people why would you expect this to be any worse?
01-13-2008 , 08:46 PM
I dont think this will have a huge effect on online poker as a whole, but UB and AP's reputation has been very tarnished. As of now I still have faith that FTP and Stars are very well run, legit sites. Other than that though im very skeptical of all other sites

People love to gamble, some donkey superuser isn't going to stop them fortunately.

I dunno, not sure how closely tied UB and AP are, but why shouldn't people be suspicious of ANY site at this point? I am not trying to start a witch hunt, but any logical person would have to wonder what other sites, including stars and FTP, are trying to cover up their own little scandals based on these things coming out...

I mean, it's not like these poker sites are jumping to release this info. Players have had to work VERY hard to figure out who was cheating on AP and UB, and those were relatively obvious cheaters.

How many other cheaters are there on random sites that are doing this the smart way, and slowly draining money over time?
