tricky commerce 3 way 10/20 NL spot

Fairly new table, the game has been running for about 45 minutes. Nothing notable the first couple of orbits. Hero is small blind with $2400. V1 just sat down with $800 (no history). V2 is a noted pro. He's a young, aggressive, thinking, solid regular at Commerce. He's sitting with roughly $5000.

Hero is SB with 75. V1 open limps EP. V2 raises on the button to 80. Hero calls, V1 calls. Flop is J94. Checks around. Turn is 10. Hero leads $120. V1 calls. V2 raises to $350. Hero calls. V1 ships for $600. V2 reships for $4000. Hero?

Re: tricky commerce 3 way 10/20 NL spot

I think I call here. I expect V2 to have more good turn hands rather than made flushes and not put you on a hand that can withstand that pressure. If he had the nut flush (the most likely flush to slowplay), he should probably not ship over the 600. If he had a non-nut flush, a ship isn't as surprising now (not wanting to deal with bad rivers and just take a big pot now), but he'd be less likely to slowplay the smaller flushes on the flop IMO.

Fold pre

You can't always make the right play in a spot like this... But I don't fold now TT and KQ are in everybody's range.

think you have to call. Stop it with fold pre.

I'd call thinking V2 had a straight w Kh and V1 could have a wide range since we know nothing about him but....we have a flush

Only flush I see everyone checking on the flop is the nuts. Hopefully you're not up against that because I think I'm calling

Re: tricky commerce 3 way 10/20 NL spot

I read the situation after a lot of thought as V1 having a pair with the Ah and V2 having a higher flush but not the nuts. I also thought my call made it look like to V2 that I had the Ah and was drawing, and that his overshove was a protection play. Faulty thinking?

faulty thinking because you put villain on such a tight range that is very egobased. you're assuming you can read villain's mind. instead, construct a real range that includes all his possible hands.

don't try to soulread him

Do you think you're a better plyr and can make enuf moves to make up for your oop after the flop v v2? If no then 3b or fld your hd pre. Snap-call that shove you have the nuts.

fold pf you are losing money calling OOP 120x deep w/ that hand vs most players and lighting it on fire vs the villain you described.

as played its a call. nut flush doesn't play it like that he's trying to get HU w/ the other dude.
