Mellow, did u happen to mention what someone else in here said about telling them you were a poker pro and then having them completely remove any limits?

Hey guys,

So say once I establish residency in Canada and get a canadian bank acct open, how long is it taking to setup the payment processors and how long is it actually taking you guys to cash out of Full Tilt?

I called their phone number (not toll free but if you have a skype number or something it costs VERY little to make the call) I hit 0 got to an operator with no hold time.

She gave me a few options that the website didn't offer.

#1 I never got my address verification in the mail but she told me that she will send me an email with a ticket number, I scan my utility bill or bank statement and send it in, this will be taken care of.

#2 I said how sending a bank wire was pretty expensive and wondered if they could do something else. She said yes, and that sending a bank wire only increased my account by 5,000 euros, but another option would increase it by 15,000. The other option is, you go to the withdraw tab, you select to withdraw a small amount, she suggested $15. Before when I tried to withdraw the system wouldn't let me because it wanted verification, but when u withdraw a small amount it automatically goes through. Now when this withdrawal hits my bank there will be some kind of VR: code apparently in the statement. I enter that code and will have my limit upped by 15k euros.

Neither of these options were listed on the website. Hopefully this will all go smoothly and I will have my account up and running soon. I wish i would have called them 2 weeks ago now.
I can confirm scanning a utility bill will get your address verified. Helpful considering the Canada Post strike.

Am wondering the same, is moving to Canada a legit way to cash out your US based account balances? Or does FTP freeze your account or some bs

Hey Guys,

Hopefully you guys can quickly verify my plan on a step-by-step basis before I roll out.

1) Drive up from Portland, OR to Vancouver, BC. I will bring bank statements, my current lease, etc. just in case. I'll also bring cash (less than 10k).

2) Set up bank account in Vancouver using my USA Passport, Drivers License, and American address.

3) Pick up cheap, short-lease apt from Craigslist. Get Internet service/land line up and running, request bill in advance (proof of residency).

4) Create MoneyBookers account using new Canadian address and Bank Account.

5) Use new Address/Account to reopen FTP and UB.

6) Tie MoneyBookers to FTP/UB, begin withdrawing money to MoneyBookers.

7) Withdraw money from MoneyBookers to Bank Account.

8) Transfer money from Bank Account to US BofA acct.

Foolproof?

I would link my Canadian bank to my Canadian address if I were you.
06-08-2011 , 01:41 PM
was planning on getting bank acct first, then canadian address, then switching the address on the bank account from my american one to my canadian one
06-08-2011 , 02:04 PM
This is what I've done, except I got a place first then got a canadian bank account with a canadian address. Just realize its a slower process than you think esp with money bookers.

I'm reading some conflicting info. I have money on ftp that I would like to cash out.

Are there any restrictions to

- FTP-->canadian bank (via bank transfer) ?
- FTP-->moneybookers-->canadian bank (via bank transfer) ?

This should work, only problem is there are massive delays in withdrawing. Thus, plan on staying a while.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned but what are you guys using in place of a bank statement for proof of your bank account, a voided check?

From what I've seen around 2p2, voided check is the next option, which people have been using with some, but not 100%, success.

It's my understanding that bank transfers aren't allowed unless you have an SIN (like a SSN).

I think the only way for most of us to withdraw is via paper check.

Hopefully I am wrong or the situation will change soon.

What's wrong with just writing yourself a check?

Do I also need a sin for moneybookers to bank?

just got off the phone for moneybookers and wow. excellent, excellent customer service. if you have any questions, just call them. badass.

Andrew

yeah moneybookers PHONE customer service is DOPE, their website and email responses SUCK it's total night and day. Baluga your story including cities is identical to mine except for the UB/FT instead of PS.

I used my bank statement or just general printout thing of my bank as my address. I had it on US address first then got it switched to my apartment had them print it out and stamp it again. This was way faster then waiting on a utility bill. For me I'm going to be doing paper checks for canadian money and money booker withdrawals in USD to my USD canadian bank account for my US bills, I dont know FT's policy but that works best for stars as they will only give paper checks in CAN but will do moneybookers in US.
