THESE ARE JUST HH THAT JOSE SENT ME OVER SKYPE. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE JOSE's ACCOUNTS. Seems completely plausible that Jose would send me HH that Imfromsweden or someone else from the group played or that he randomly cherrypicked from somewhere online.

Cliffs: Jose has sent me HHs with play on 6 different screen names. People who know can match up the formats of the HH to different sites in order to see if he has been multiaccounting. I included dates so we can see whether he may have gotten accounts in different names over time and not have been multiaccounting with 2 accounts at once (since that problem with his backer when he turned 18? I don't know the details exactly but that might be a factor?). There are also different converted HH where the screen names are left blank. I'll include examples from different conversion types. There are about an equal number of converted and unconverted HH, maybe 30 or so in total ?

You vastly, vastly overestimate the intelligence of poker players. Just because you're highly intelligent, doesn't mean other high stakes players are. Many high stakes players have said and done very stupid things. However, yes, you are right...MOST high stakes players would do it a lot smarter. Like I said earlier in this thread, this was a very poorly executed scam.

However, you have to take into consideration that girah is most likely in the bottom 10 percentile of intelligence with regards to people who've made lots from poker...making it not that unlikely.

Plenty of high stakes players have said incredibly dumb things, such as Deldar, ZeeJustin, Syous, 6633366, just to name a few....the list is a lot bigger, obviously.

Let me first say quickly that i'm incredibly uninvolved with any of this stuff.

the only party I want to comment on is Haseeb's assertion that he was just helping out Jose with writing and mentoring just for kicks, etc etc. In 2008 I approached Haseeb about writing the HU section of my book. He first said that he'd do it, and then he didn't really do anything and then he eventually backed out of the project and I replaced him. Keep in mind, this was a proposition in which he was likely to make a good deal of money, and he wasn't really motivated.

it just struck me as an odd thing that he was too lazy to work w/ me for money but not too lazy to just randomly help out jose with his stuff.

but again, im not really involved and that was my only interaction with Haseeb

The "winnings" stat is an unconverted amount, i.e. in this case for his 25/50 pound sterling results he won £23,168.79 as displayed, not USD. There is another stat "$USD" (or very similar can't remember exact name off hand and on my mac) which is the converted amount according to whatever exchange rate you have set in HEM.
