Determining BB per hour Determining BB per hour

I'm trying to calculate big bets per hour with Excel. Pokertracker and such won't work with the site I'm using.

I know "total hours played", "total hands played", and "total $ won". How in the heck do you calculate BB/hour. (BB = 2x the big blind)

I am mathematically challenged so I appreciate your time.

1) Using total hours and total hands you can find hands/hour
2) If you are playing the same stake then you can then find your big blinds won by using $ won and $ amount of big blind
3) Now you have the information for big blinds won and hands/hour ----> calculate big blinds won per hour
4) Convert big blinds won/hr to BB/hr by dividing your big blinds per hour by 2

Quite simple math, first step is to always grab a piece of paper and write down what you know, and what you want to find ---> fill in the gaps..a little like poker :P

I appreciate the information. What I really need is the equation, because logically I understand it, but I'm not able to create the equation to put into Excel.

Thanks

One step at a time.

Eg: Step 1 - Finding number of hands per hour

Hands/hr = number of hands / number of hours

Step 2 - find amount of big blinds won

Big blinds won = $amount won/$amount of big blind

Etc etc

"Big Bets Per Hour" = ["Total Money Won" / "Value of Big Bet" ] / "Total Hours Played"
