Actually all four xNxJ types are rarer than INFP. Most N types are Ps and most S types are Js, and Ss outnumber Ns about 3 to 1, so NJs are the rarest two-letter subgroup. The fact that xNxJ is so much more prominent than xNxP among high stakes poker players suggests that Ni, the Jungian function shared by all xNxJ types, is most conducive to poker success.
Weird feeling, I normally can't correct anybody about anything on 2+2...
To be fair though, all F types are substantially less common (something like 2:1) among men than among women (and vice versa for T.)
To break down the function distributions...
xSxJ = Si as dominant or secondary function (out of four)
xSxP = Se "
xNxP = Ne
xNxJ = Ni
xxFP = Fi
xxFJ = Fe
xxTP = Ti
xxTJ = Te
Breaking the four functions S/N/T/F down into their two possible attitudes tells you whether you conceptualize that cognitive process subjectively (introverted) or objectively (extroverted.)
So, for some reason NTJs (who iNtuit subjectively and Think objectively) are more common among high stakes poker players than NTPs (who Think subjectively and iNtuit objectively.)
Hm...
