Well there's two conflicting factors that are true for a lot of successful 2p2-type poker pros yet don't exist in many other professions.. (1) they have the ability to accumulate large amounts of capital at a very young age and (2) they have already accumulated a large amount of capital to the point where their daily earn doesn't have much of an impact on their overall lifestyle.

So I think what it comes down to is just how much you value money with respect to living a happy life. If you value it greatly, (1) wins out. If you value it less than most, (2) becomes a stronger factor in making life decisions.. (ie. they're already living as "rich" as they want and so they just have to maintain a certain level of work ethic to comfortably live the rest of their life past their threshold for being wealthy enough to be happy..)

But I think what actually happens in reality is that the type of personality that tends to thrive in the poker environment is one that is extremely competitive and obsessive. So now that the dust has settled 7-8 years later, the majority of successful players are of this type of personality. And for a lot of these people, it's still about crushing the video game for the high score and as much as the $ is becoming more "valuable" as we get older, it's still just a way of keeping score. So instead of spending much time considering (1) or (2), they generally just decide to go about trying to crush the game whenever the mood strikes and whatever happens, happens.

Edit: Just watched a 4:22 clip of the ending, and holy **** it's sad.

If you're gonna watch it the back story is beetles kill Cider Poppies which are bad, Earls company kills the beetles with their wax fruit factory, Earl is hired to kill the now rapidly growing Cider poppies and multiple ecological disasters happen which culminate with them bombing volcanos to create clouds and rain. The clip will explain the effect that has.

The dinosaur news anchor is talking about the humans they have in the zoo.

They show a shot of two men grumpily standing in there as the anchor is reporting that scientists are confused about how to get the humans to start mating.

Had a HUGE crush on Alex Mack when I was a kid. Almost as big as Topenga (sp?).

Called the rio last night to see if i should drive down and sigh up for the 3k HU early. They were ALREADY CAPPED. FML.

what. it only got like 300some entrants and they were taking ppl right up until it started. you def got some bad info from whoever told you it was capped. (not totally surprised to hear this bc when my brother called last night they told him there were 400some registered which was obv not the case).

lol, justin bieber is in oslo, norway atm, going to do a concert. obv the 13-14 year old chicks go crazy like over the world and the norwegian media, since nothing ever ****ing happens in norway (except the terrorist attack last year) is just writing about where he goes eating, how he waves to the insane amount of chicks waiting for hours outside hotel to get a glimpse of him etc.

fwiw i don't really get all the hate he gets from guys. sure the music he releases is mainstream **** for 13-year old girls, but from what i've seen of his old youtube videos, he's ridic talented.. and stuff. and

The Bieber girls are insane, walk past them on my way to the underground card club these days, I honestly was shocked since there's been many superstars in the same city I've been to over the years, but I've never seen anything like this.
