it's fun, but definitely overrated. like, i came in with expectations of it actually being a really good movie. it's a massive blockbuster entertaining movie, with hulk being super lol and stark being boss, but it doesn't come close to either of the batman movies

Avengers is definitely overrated, can't believe the hype.
Movie looked good, Stark is just what you expect, but the whole plot was just messy and things just happened for the sake of something happening.
The overall threat wasn't presented in a good way, was also just there to be there.
Didn't really care for what any of the characters were going through, just a silly let's make **** explode and make dollars in a stylish way movie IMO.

I had way more fun watching The Avengers than I did watching Batman Begins or The Dark Knight, though both Batman films are way more meaningful stories. The Avengers has a silly comic book plot but is amazingly entertaining and vv funny. The best pure superhero comic book movie, IMO. Made me feel like I was 12 and tearing through a comic book, just totally nailed the characters and their relationships. The last hour of action was incredible popcorn entertainment. **** explodes, but it's coupled with some epic character moments/payoffs. Saw it 3x opening weekend, have rarely ever seen audiences that into a movie (and a blockbuster movie hasn't pulled me back to the theater like that since Star Wars).
