I want the restaurant to survive. the place is tiny and the prices are so low I have no idea how he stays profitable. I went there like 5x in 10days and sparked up a friendship and the owner/chef begged me to tell all my friends about the place.
this isn't like some super profitable high mark up place that i could have all to myself and hope to continue to enjoy it the few times a year I come to las Vegas.
I feel like you have seriously unrealistic notions of the restaurant industry if you think a place like kabuto could survive without word of mouth advertising.
ffs this place gets zero walk in business as they are way off the beaten trail and don't even have a sign on the door, much less any traditional advertising so to "lol" at ppl tweeting or telling all their "poker player friends" (it's ok to tell your non poker friends tho right) is pretty absurd to me.
if the place gets super popular it's just going to take more effort to get a seat it's not like the quality is going to be degraded, so I'll risk having to call two days in advance rather then being able to just walk in to insure the best sushi place I've ever had the luxury of frequenting gets enough traction to stay in business for a long long time.
