Just had a pretty jaw-dropping moment of statistical absurdity.. I'm casually seeing a couple different girls, nothing serious.. one is 22, the other is 33. They're from completely different cities, and currently live in different cities. The 22yo hasn't even been to school yet. They are of drastically different nationalities and have no common hobby interests. Very very very different people and at very different points in their lives..

The 33yo adds me to fbook and naturally I browse a few of her profile pictures. Like the 3rd picture I click on, I notice a couple comments. One of them is from the 22yo.. with a joking tone implying they're not only acquaintances but actually know each other at least a bit.. and both the pic/comment are from '08.

It makes no sense and I actually spent 5 minutes trying to figure out if it was some strange fbook error, given that the odds are pretty astronomically high.. esp given that I just happened to stumble upon it.

mandatory conspiracy theory is obv that FB knows youre dating both of them (of course it knows that!) and suggested the 22yo to become friends with the 33yo. Now, since 22yo's are naive and 33yo's are past the point where they reject some very shallow ways to push their social status, 22yo obv requested friendship and 33yo gladly accepted. now, going into the 3rd act of this modern media drama, the apogee and following downfall will of course be them finding out and telling their friends they got a new orwell-esque method of checking out people they are dating -> FB becomes advertised by this story, purpose fullfilled.

- Connect to the TV

I want to take the girl on a vacation. She likes beaches and Italy. Italy has nice beaches, right?

This trip will involve zero poker.

Any suggestions? Not super robusto so not trying to spend $600 a night on hotel if possible.

Being near a beach is more important than being near a major city / museums although an overnight trip to Rome might be nice.

Late July for 5-10 days is the plan currently.

Go to Capri, ZJ. It's the nuts. Amazing place along the coast line with great beaches, restaurants, hotels, etc. It's also not as crowded as the towns along the Amalfi Coast, which is pretty nice.
