Re: OFFICIAL High Stakes Wire + other awesome TV shows thread

i watch a lot of great shows but I have realized and now admit that one of the shows I cant wait to see every week is the ultimate fighter. It's a must for any fans of MMA imo.

ps: jesus christ prison break is so getting old... like it was old two seasons ago but now I dont think anyone cares anymore about the plot or any of the characters.

prison break was very good for two episodes i thought, despite how ridiculous it was at times. but yeah, it's super old and i can't keep up with it anymore

also, bodie is the best character on the wire. his progression from the first season until the end is incredibly interesting

Re: OFFICIAL High Stakes Wire + other awesome TV shows thread

so i'm like halfway through season 2 of the wire and havent seen an episode in a month or two, b/c i cant get the motivation to finish this fisherman mafia story arc. also ziggy tilts me.

is it really that bad to just go straight to season 3. finishing season 2 feels like homework. i wanna go back to the inner city for a storyline.

as much as s2 is annoying sometimes, and sometimes when watching the wire (even latter seasons) i find myself wishing they would go back to the "street" stuff, it would be a crime to miss all the details and later connections that you get in the end of season 2. also, season 2 is really not all bad-- but honestly if you really hate watching it that much, you probably won't love the next few seasons all that much.

Re: OFFICIAL High Stakes Wire + other awesome TV shows thread

yeah, upon checking on wikipedia the details of the next few seasons (the schools, the government, the newspaper), I guess I was initially misled. I figured season 1 was just 1 of 5 seasons detailing the drug trade.

i blame ziggy. FU LUCK.

Why does everyone hate the character of Ziggy so much? I hate the character as a person but I think it's a fine character na meeeeen? If you don't think people like Ziggy exist, well I can tell you that I've known people that are a lot like him.

eh, i agree with you like 95%, just seems like a bit of a sore thumb given the prior context of the series. borderline shtick. the "jar jar binks" of the wire.
