If youre talking about personal preferance then my post is unnecessary but if you are talking about musical complexity IMO this is not ture. Ive been playing piano since I was 5 years old and did some transcripting as well as composing myself (nothing special obv) and recently tried to get into Reason 5 to try some electronic composing. If people like Franz Liszt were born today, I'd bet a high amount they'd be the next deadmau5. You have to see that the amount of variables available during 1600-1900 (where most "classic" stuff was composed) was limited to the orchestra and nothing else. Of course, geniuses like Mozart pulled of remarable works by creating extremely unique melodies that stick in your head, however this was all within the frame of classical composing. Now, if you look at what the best electronic artists are doing, its just beyond my understanding of what one can create. They have every instrument available that the classic composers had, multiplied by 1000 in its most variable forms and tunes. Of course you can just make up a beat with a programm and create something that qualifies as minimal, but to do complex stuff like deadmau5 and co you have to be what these guys were back then, musical ubertalents.
BTW, fun fact: since some mentioned chopin, deadmau5' "more ghots and stuff" has its intro transcripted from chopin's funeral march
