Re: NL10000 Stars - river decision with flush

Seems super bad to check fold this hand, if he IS bluffing for whatever reason, he's going to continue bluffing and those saying fold are losing to that line.

I think a blocker is appropriate, as he might not raise with 44 or other hands, you beat some of his hands, not a ton, but betting seems superior to checking to me.

Depends on what YOU feel is right based on how you're perceived... if you want to get your money in, check call, if you don't want to get bluffed, bet fold, and if you want to lose no more money, check fold.

so this is what poker has come to in 2012... c/f this on the river!?!?!?

then at the very least what you should do is quit poker or at least hold'em since nobody at HSNL will ever bet anything but the nuts or give you any value whatsoever lol.

I'm not sure how I can fold the river when I hit after calling drawing.

Re: NL10000 Stars - river decision with flush

check folding 2nd nut flush 100bb deep with no reads is just terrible and easily exploitable, considering bb range to defend is extremely wide..betting 25% or even less to feign a blocking bet and maybe give villain a chance to turn top pair into a bluff to avoid a split (if he is very aggro), i think overbetting is a little transparent, i highly doubt he is calling a shove with much worse especially since even a 9 shoving for thin value beats top pair (obv).

The river pairs the board and you are jamming no matter what. That's high level thinking. Not.

In a live game, possibly with a physical or verbal tell I am jamming. But not mindlessly every time.

bet less than $1 of your stack allin.. e.g. if you have 7000, bet 6999. then if he shoves you can fold and save $1.

This advice is only good if there is a mcdonalds within a block from you're home. Dollar menu ftw! Otherwise you might wanna bet/fold 6995 so u can go to subway.
